"Ivy! Ivy! Wake up please!" Ivy had passed out. She was going to say something....but I don't know which one she was going to say. Did she love me or not? I Hadn't noticed the gigantic pool of blood collecting on the couch beside her. I got up and went frantically in search of some blood. Surely they had to have had some in the house somewhere.

There were none in the fridge anywhere. I looked at her and saw just how pale she was. She was whiter than a sheet and as transparent as plastic wrap. She needed blood and she needed it now.

I pick up one of the kitchen knives and walk back into the living room. I lay Ivy's head on my lap and with the knife I lay open my wrist. It felt like fire across my skin. My blood was running freely now. As it started to drip off of my wrist I rested it just over Ivy's mouth so that it would fall onto her tongue. Hopefully the taste would wake her up enough to drink on her own.

My arm was throbbing. And it felt like I had lost so much more blood that I actually had. I could see the blood pooling in her mouth. And slowly it was going down.

The next thing I see is Ivy's lovely emerald green eyes that were so deep you could swim in them. I sit forward and sit her up as she coughs and sputters on the blood.

"Ivy, thank god you're awake. Please, drink. I need to make you better and you have no other blood in the house. Please drink. "

My breath was wasted because not even a half a second later her fangs were deep in my arm. It stung with a pain that I have never felt. It took all my willpower to not scream in agony.

All too soon though she let go of my arm and pressed her hand to the wound. "Thank you, Gabriel. I don't know what I would do without you." She says laying her head against my collar bone.

God she smelt amazing. I looked at her and smiled. "You were saying something before you passed out. Do you remember what it was?" I ask, smoothing her hair down around her face.

She looked at me hard trying to remember what she was saying apparently then her eyes brightened up with remembrance. But then she sat back in solemnity. "No, Sorry Gabe, I don't remember what I was saying to you before passing out." My heart sank with her words. It was three words. I wanted to hear only three words. It was all I could do but scream out in frustration. I leaned my head down on her shoulder and closed my eyes. I felt her wrap her arms around my neck and her laying her head on top of mine. I smiled and pressed closer to her. Even if she didn't say it. I still had this. And I would make it last till the day she finally told me she loved me.

Raven whimpered as she licked her wounds. That vampire had put up some fight. If it wasn't for the human raven would never have started a fight with her, but there was just something about Gabriel that pulled on Raven's subconscious that she couldn't explain. The deep gash across ravens' side was pouring blood all over the den she had made herself for when she wanted to be alone. Her breathing was rugged and it was getting harder to keep her eyes open. With as much strength as she could muster she raised her head back and howled a long and broken howl. Soon one of her brothers would come and find her. Till then she would lay and think of how to take the vampire down next time and claim her prize. The human Gabriel. No longer will Raven be mate-less. She will have her mate even if it meant not giving him the option to say no
