Meet Sanam, the lead vocalist of his band SANAM, a Youtube sensation and the heartthrob of innumera...
I stayed up that night, looking at my phone's 'very bright' screen in the 'pitch dark' room. I was almost blinded when morning came, but it didn't matter. I eventually fell asleep at 5 a.m. I still couldn't believe that the last few hours actually happened. I stared at his email the whole night.
Shipra woke up and saw me asleep, half hanging out of my bed. "Hey Gul! Kya hua?{What happened?} Wake up come on!!!" She held my shoulders and gave me a good shaking. "Huh? What? What's the time? Am I late already? WHERE AM I???" I woke up, completely baffled. I was dreaming again... Needless to say, it was him. And this time, it was obvious that I would dream of him! I had actually met him after all!!
"Relax! Why were you sleeping like this? Wait a minute, were you up all night? You have dreadful dark circles under your eyes!" Shipra said, examining my face.
"Ummm... Ya... I couldn't sleep all night. I thought maybe he'll reply to my email, and it would be so rude if I don't reply immediately, so..." I said, matter-of-factly.
"Hmmmm... makes sense... But what are you going to do with these dark circles? Abhi college jaana hai...{We have to college right now...}"
"Chuck that, who cares about looking good in college!" I said, making my way to the washroom. "Hey! This is not done, I woke up first!!!" I could hear Shipra stamping her foot. "Hahahaha....Better luck next time!!!" I said from within.
But why didn't he reply... I wonder how he knew me...
These thoughts floated in my mind all through the day— on my way to the campus, in between classes, in the canteen, on my way back... ALL THE TIME! But he still hadn't replied.
After dinner, all of us were planning to sit and chat in our room. But man! I was damn sleepy!! After a night without sleep and a hectic day at college, I wanted my bed so badly! So I suggested them to sit in some other room and have fun, while I catch up on my sleep.

"Just before you go... Did he reply?" Rishika inquired while we were on our way to our rooms. "Not yet..." I replied in a dull voice. "Arre chill yaar, you only said that he is a busy person, he might reply to your email when he gets time..." Ananya assured me.
"Hmmm..." And I went into my room with a 'Good night' to my friends...
I was suddenly reminded of my incomplete assignment as I picked up my laptop to check my inbox 'one last time'... Ab complete karna padega {Now I will have to complete it}... Come on Gul, get it done quick and sleep...
There was little work left in my assignment, yet it took me an hour to complete. Oops! I forgot about the email!! I immediately logged in to my email and checked my inbox.

I took a deep breath and pressed 'SEND'. I was reading, and re-reading my email to see if it sounded funny, when I received a notification.

So quick? It was 11:30 p.m and I almost thought that I shouldn't have replied so late... But there he was, online! We were emailing each other as if we were on an instant messenger.

My laptop's screen was flashing with this notification. OH NO! No Gul, don't reject the call... It doesn't look nice! I took a deep breath and pressed "ACCEPT"...
