"Rittenhouse would never allow it." Lucy's mother's words echoed through her mind. Each word haunted her, sending shivers up her spine. The thought of her being considered "Rittenhouse Royalty" made her sick. Lucy had to escape this. She got in her car, and without thinking, just drove off into the night.

After a good twenty minutes of driving, Lucy found herself at Wyatt's house. She had talked to him earlier that day, when they were about to leave Mason Industries (forever). He wasn't ready to say goodbye to her and Rufus. Lucy didn't think that she was quite ready to say goodbye either. She quietly approached Wyatt's front door and rang the doorbell. After a few moments of waiting, Wyatt finally answered the door. "Lucy? What are you doing out here so late?" He asked, surprised. "Well, if you want me to leave, I can-" She was cut off by Wyatt. "Come on in. I can see by the look on your face that something is terribly wrong." The two of them entered Wyatt's house and sat down on the couch and Lucy explained to Wyatt that her mother was also a descendant of a founding member of Rittenhouse, making her "Rittenhouse Royalty". "Wow.. That's terrible.. I'm so sorry, Luce. I can see why you came out here tonight." Wyatt replied quietly. He looked into Lucy's eyes, his striking blue eyes locking in place with her beautiful dark brown eyes. A tear slid down Lucy's cheek. Wyatt pulled her into a hug. It was an embrace that neither of them would ever forget. Wyatt grabbed a tissue and wiped Lucy's eyes free of the tears. "Thank you, Wyatt." She whispered. "No problem.. Ma'am." He said, smiling. His icy blue eyes sent a spark through Lucy's body. There was just something about him... Something extremely special.. "Anyways.." Wyatt began, breaking the silence of their stares," I assume you'd like to stay here tonight..?" Lucy was confused. "What?" She asked looking at him again. He nodded. "You seem like you could use a break from your mother. You can stay here until everything between you and your mother is cleared up. You'll be safe here.. I promise." He replied. "Oh, thank you Wyatt!" She said, practically jumping into his arms. "Okay." He said. "I'll sleep on the couch, you'll sleep in my room." Wyatt told her. Lucy shook her head. "No. It's not right of me to kick you out of your room.." "Yes, it is. You need rest.. And I do like the couch.." He said, smiling. "You know what, Wyatt Logan? We'll sleep out here together on the couch, if you're going to be stubborn. We could watch tv together.." Wyatt sighed,"Okay then.." he replied. Wyatt turned on the tv and they both watched a marathon of the Star Wars movies.. Because what else would they watch? Lucy snuggled into Wyatt, as she drifted of to sleep. Wyatt smiled down at her and laid his head on top of hers. Maybe they never would be ready to say goodbye, he thought, as he continued to watch the movie.
