Sunlight shone through the windows of the old, abandoned warehouse in present-day California. The Mothership gave off bright lights, which looked nearly as bright as the northern lights from Iceland, as it charged. Flynn and Emma's men were guarding the warehouse as they slept. And no, not together. Emma slept on a cot, while Flynn slept on the floor in a sleeping bag. They were both in the back room, which was separated from the rest of the warehouse. "Hey. You two. You gonna wake up or what?" Tom, one of the guards said, walking up to his sleeping bosses. "Ugh. Oh. Hi Tom." Emma said, stretching. "Hi. Now get up, we have to talk. And wake up Garcia too." Tom replied huffily. Emma rolled her eyes. "Okay." Tom turned and grumbled something about young people these days or something as he exited the room, closing the door behind him. "Pssst. Garcia.. Wake up." Emma whispered, as she shoved Flynn lightly. "What the hell, Emma?" He asked groggily. "Tom just came in here. He says that he needs to talk to us, and apparently it's important. No idea what he wants, and he clearly doesn't want us to be fucking around today, that's for sure; just by the look on his face, he seems pissed.." Flynn rolled his eyes. "I suppose we shouldn't test his short temper. Let's get dressed and get our asses out there." He told Emma. Flynn quickly rose to his feet and began to strip out of his clothes. His shirt came off first, showing off his muscles. Emma blushed at the sight. "Uhhh.. Maybe do that somewhere.. else..?" She asked Flynn. He just rolled his eyes and pulled on his new shirt. He didn't have to change into anything else because he had worn his jeans to bed. "Well, I'm ready. Now you get ready, I'm going to go see Tom." Flynn told Emma. "Umm, okay." She replied. Flynn left the room, leaving Emma alone - with her thoughts. As she got dressed, she began to wonder what that "strange heat sensation" was, and why she had felt it; around Flynn, that was. Emma looked in the mirror and brushed her hair. Just thinking of Flynn made her feel.. Interesting. He was actually a really good friend despite her working with Rittenhouse - and he did know about how she worked with them. And even though Rittenhouse was the reason that Flynn's wife and daughter were dead, he still hung around Emma. Emma enjoyed his company, just as he did hers. But seriously.. What the hell was that.. feeling? Emma asked herself over and over again. The question still lingered in her mind. And then it hit her. I was blushing at his abs. Now, why the hell would I do that? Perhaps we are becoming more than just friends..?

Emma rushed out of the back room and into the brightly lit warehouse. The Mothership was still charging, and Flynn and the guards were waiting for Emma, all talking near the time machine. "Sorry I'm running late. I.. I lost my clothes for a second.." Emma said, coming up with a quick excuse to be late. Flynn nodded understandingly, and the guards just shrugged. "Okay, so now that we're all here.. Let's just get to the point." Tom said. Emma tilted her head sideways, in confusion. "What is this about?" Emma asked Flynn. "Well, we are trying to figure out what to do with the Mothership, now that we have weakened the Time Team." Flynn told her, a glint of evil shines in his eyes. "Dude, you should have seen Wyatt's reaction to Lucy getting shot.. I thought he cared more for Jessica. He scooped up Lucy in his arms and ran like the Democrats when they found out Trump won the election!" Emma said, laughing. Flynn couldn't help but laugh too. "Good one, Emma." They all laughed. God, she's so funny.. That's why I'm glad I have her. Wait.. What?Flynn added silently to himself. "So, what's the plan, Flynn?" Emma asked, interrupting Flynn's thoughts. "I was thinking, maybe we all just.. Rest for a couple of weeks, and wait for the Time Team to recover. Trust me, it's much more fun to plan ahead of them and do something stupid, causing them to chase us." He replied smoothly. Emma nodded in agreement. "Then the Mothership will be charged with more power, and if we rest, then we will be too." She said. "Exactly. But we're going to have to plan for our next mission, correct Sir?" Tom asked. "We will have plenty of time, trust me. But we must act quickly, and be smart with our actions too.." Flynn told him. "And what happens if they find us before we can go back in time?" A raspy voice said from the group of guards. Jim, a somewhat old man, a couple of years older than Tom, emerged from the crowd, limping. "We have to be pretty damn careful, if you ask me.. That historian thinks she is such a smart-ass, that soldier is way too overprotective, and the pilot is such a tattletale." He told them. "That's true. But I know how to cover our tracks and keep that pesky trio away from us." Flynn said. "And Emma here knows a few tricks of her own.. Trust me on that one." He finished, placing a firm hand on Emma's shoulder, making her blush. And thank god no one noticed, and even if they did, they already had learned that it was better to just keep their mouths shut. "Thanks to Emma's tricks, the police haven't found any of us." Flynn said. "It's no problem.. Anything to save a friend." Emma replied. Friend? Both Flynn and Emma had a lingering thought just like the one that Lucy and Wyatt had. Were they becoming more than just friends?

I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter! I decided to make this story be more than one ship - so mainly Lucy X Wyatt, but with some Flynn X Emma. I probably won't add anything about Rufus X Jiya, because they are already a couple. Anyways, Farvel, and #renewtimeless!
