"Shit." Wyatt cursed under his breath as he tripped over a thorn bush. The thorns pierced his leg, causing him to swear even more. Something poked his back. Wyatt turned around to see an angry Native American man who held a spear. The Time Team had traveled back in time to 1804, which was the year of Lewis and Clark's famous expedition, when Sacagewea (I tried and probably miserably failed to spell her name correctly XD) had guided them throughout North Dakota. One moment Lucy, Rufus, and Wyatt were hiking in a quiet, peaceful, and isolated forest in the middle of North Dakota, and before they knew it they were being taken by Native Americans to their camp. Lucy and Wyatt's hands were tied behind their backs, while Rufus was allowed to walk freely, as long as he was being watched. Just like the trip to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania when they nearly got stranded, the Natives believed that Rufus was forced to be with Lucy and Wyatt as a slave, not by choice. Obviously that wasn't true because they were very close friends. And just when it couldn't get any goddamn worse, it did; they didn't even know why Emma and Flynn were here! After walking for nearly two hours, they arrived at the camp. The camp was  loud and crowded, people deep in conversation and doing their jobs. Children were running around, playing with each other. All of the commotion stopped when they saw the Time Team. Everyone immediately fell silent, and stared at them. The men who had escorted the trio to the camp brought Lucy and Wyatt to the middle of the camp, while they made Rufus stay behind with the other guards. The guards forced Lucy and Wyatt onto the ground. The man who had poked Wyatt with the spear shouted something in his native language. One of the tents rustled, and the Chief came out. Well, not the "Chief" exactly. It was the "Chieftess". The Chieftess was a young woman - well, she looked more like a teenager. She walked into the clearing where her people had gathered. With one look at Lucy and Wyatt, she looked down at them and said something in her language. "I'm so sorry.. We don't understand you.." Lucy said, looking up to her. The Chieftess nodded. "Okay." She replied. Her English sounded somewhat rusty, but hey, it was English. "You speak English?!" Lucy asked, full of shock. Normally Natives only knew their own language, nothing else.. "Yes, I do. But I have more of a question! Who the hell are you, and why are you here?!" The Chieftess hissed back, completely fluent in English this time. "We.. We took a wrong turn, that's all - we are lost!" Lucy said, beginning to tremble. "I don't care who you are! Do you even know what we do to trespassers? We kill them!" The Chieftess spat back at her. Lucy shivered, tears welling up in her eyes. "I smell fear!" A voice called from the crowd. "Shut it, Wolf Claw!" The Chieftess growled, glaring at a boy who looked about the same age as her. "Sorry, Silver River.." He replied. "Whatever.." She replied, narrowing her eyes. "Anyways, a tall man with dark hair and an accent with a woman with red hair came by and warned us of a pesky trio. You, with the exception of the slave, fit that description." She said, pointing at Lucy and Wyatt. "Don't trust them! They are evil!" Lucy said, struggling as she kneeled. Silver River ignored her, and once again, she said something in her language. Two muscular guards walked over, brushing right past Rufus. They held sharp, shiny knives. "Any last words?" Silver River asked. Lucy's only response was tears and Wyatt kissed her before they were gone. At least we'll be together.. Forever..? Lucy thought as she cried. "STOP!!!!" Rufus roared, right when the knives were at their necks. "Halt." Silver River ordered her men. They obeyed. She looked over at Rufus, giving him permission to speak. "You can't do this, Silver River. These guys are my friends.. I love them more than anything, and I trust them! I wasn't forced to be with them. I WANT to be with them!" He told her, his eyes flashing with hurt and anger. So, here the Time Team was, two bound to die, and one trying to save all of their asses. It was clear that they were screwed. And it was all thanks to the bullshit that Emma and Flynn did.
Hopefully you guys enjoyed this! Next chapter will probably be Emma and Flynn's POV. Poor Time Team.. They are so screwed! I'll probably update soon. If you have any suggestions or ideas, feel free to PM me. Anyways, farvel until next time!
