Chapter 7 ~ Snow Spirit and Returning Home

It was now 10:00 at night. There had been a terrible car accident that had caused them to get caught in two hours of traffic.. Apparently ice had formed on the road and had caused two cars to collide. Thankfully, no one was hurt. As Wyatt continued to drive, the snow went from being small flurries to a heavy snowfall. Luckily, he was right down the street from his house. As he turned down the street, the snow seemed to pause for only a spilt second, and a human-like shape seemed to form out of the snow. Wyatt then blinked. The "figure" had disappeared. Weird.. I'm probably just imagining things.. again.. Wyatt thought as he pulled into his driveway. "Seeing things?" Think again, Wyatt. Amy said, not being heard. She peered out from behind a tree in his front yard. She quickly faded away to avoid being seen. Before leaving, she turned around and faced the car, smirking. And my sister said she never had a crush.. Amy thought. And then she was gone.

Wyatt got out of the car and approached Lucy's side of the car. To his surprise, she was still fast asleep. For a chatty person, she can really sleep.. Wyatt thought, admiring her sleeping body. He picked her up bridal-style and carried her into the house. Many pleasurable memories from earlier that day filled his mind. The way Lucy blushed. The way she walked and talked. The way she smiled and laughed.. It all warmed his heart. Gazing down at her as she slept, he brought her into his bedroom. He laid her down on his bed and covered her up with his blankets. Lucy slept so peacefully and soundly. Oddly enough, Wyatt enjoyed watching her sleep. He had to admit, she looked quite cute.. He then crawled into bed next to her, exhausted. He curled protectively around her, even though there was no danger. Nothing will ever hurt you Lucy. I promise to stay by your side and protect you.. And everyone.. Forever. Wyatt thought. Lucy snored gently. After more moments of silence, Wyatt fell asleep too, thoughts about his - no, their future whirling through his mind. I wonder what could happen? He wondered.

"Yes, I wonder too. And whatever you do, take care of my sister; she'll always be there for you too. But seriously, I'll be keeping a close eye on you two.. I will always protect you both." Amy vowed, staring down at their sleeping bodies. And within a few seconds, Amy had disappeared once again.
