The bright sun began to fade away into the late evening. Luke was sticking his head out the window, his tongue lolling wildly. The wind was the only sound, and everything was silent inside the car. As usual, an awkward silence had come over them. As the sky began to darken, Lucy spoke. "That was a wonderful day, Wyatt.." She said, breaking the silence, and making Wyatt flinch at the sudden words. Lucy giggled. "No problem. I loved Albero Park as well." He said, grinning. "Luke seemed to have fun too.. And he still seems so happy!" Wyatt added, turning around to look at the dog. He then quickly turned back around, concentrating on the road. Lucy nodded in agreement. Within a few other moments of silence, Lucy began to drift off into sleep, as Wyatt continued to drive into the night.

She didn't know how long she slept, but Lucy had somehow been awoken by a sudden movement. The moon shone through the clouds, showing the dark silhouettes of trees and hills. It took Lucy a few seconds to realize that the car was no longer moving. She quickly sat up. "Where am I?" She whispered, observing her surroundings. The stars looked so beautiful, and the moon was majestic and bright.

"Looks like you're finally awake." A voice said. Lucy jumped, to see Wyatt, who was standing next to her, the door to the passenger seat open. Lucy sighed in relief. "I had no idea where you were!" She said. She turned around to see Luke sleeping soundly in the back seat. "And now I know where Luke is too." She added with a smile. "So.. Where are we, and why are we here?" Lucy asked Wyatt. "Well, this hill doesn't really have a name.. And I brought you here, because Jessica loved this place; and I thought you might like it too." He replied, helping Lucy out of the car. Lucy blushed. Wyatt took her hand, leading her underneath a maple tree. Beyond the hill, there were so many things at once to see! There were lights from nearby towns, endless galaxies of stars, and extensive forests. "Wyatt.. This is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.." Lucy whispered, her head laying on Wyatt's shoulder. He kissed her temple. "I knew you'd like it.." He replied quietly. They gazed at the wonderful sight for a while longer. When they grew tired of standing, they sat down on the grass. By this time, Luke had joined them outside the car. the dog was rolling around in the grass, and Lucy and Wyatt admired the beauty of the night. "What time is it, Wyatt?" Lucy asked sleepily. "It's now ten o'clock, Luce." He replied, checking his phone. "Okay, thanks.." She replied quietly. Her stomach ached.. But only a little.. Wyatt gazed down at Lucy. She looked very tired, and was more quiet.. "Are you okay, Sweetheart..?" He asked, concern clouding his blue gaze. "I'm fine.. Just tired, that's all.." Lucy said, smiling at him. Luke padded over, sitting next to Lucy. The dog tilted his head sideways, as if to ask what was wrong, but he got no response anyway. "So.. What are you thinking about..?" Wyatt asked. Lucy shrugged. "Just the future, Rittenhouse, my mother, and everything we've been through when we chased Flynn.. I'm glad those days are over; but if those days never happened, then we wouldn't have met.." She told him, which was true. She didn't tell him that her stomach ached because she didn't want him to freak out. Wyatt pulled her closer. "No need to worry, you're safe with me." He whispered. "Thank you.. For everything.." She replied. "No problem.. Ma'am.." Wyatt said. "There's something else I want to talk about.." Wyatt said. This made Lucy sit up; it woke her up. Is something wrong? She wondered. "What is it?" She asked, confused. "Nothing.. I was just thinking.. About being open to possibilities. Do you think I am doing an okay job with being open?" He asked. What kind of question is that? Lucy asked. "I think your doing a great job, Wyatt.." She replied with a smile. Luke licked Wyatt's hand in agreement with Lucy. They all chuckled at the dog, who then howled happily. "I guess I am." Wyatt replied, smiling. "I just.. Realized how much you and Rufus needed me. I had to stop being the selfish ass I was to prove that.." He said. Lucy shook her head. "Wyatt, you weren't being selfish.. You were only doing what you wanted to do; what your Destiny was. It's so hard to just have a time machine sitting right in front of you, when you could just go back to the past and fix your mistakes.." She told him. Wyatt shrugged. "We all make mistakes.." He said, rising to kneel. "I want to know another thing, Luce.." "Yes?" She asked, slightly confused. Wyatt pulled a small black box out from his pocket. He opened the box, to reveal a small, shiny object. "Lucy Preston, will you marry me?" Wyatt asked, his icy blue gaze sinking into hers.
