As the day went on, it was unfortunately drawing to an end. Wyatt checked his phone for the time. It was 7:00 now. In order for everyone to get home before too late, they had to leave soon. Wyatt coughed. "As much as I hate to say it, it is getting late now." He said. "It's around an hour ride home." Wyatt continued. Rufus nodded in agreement. "True. We must beat the traffic." He replied. After they said their goodbyes, they went their separate ways. Jiya turned around and waved before walking off with Rufus to his car. Lucy and Wyatt walked together to Wyatt's car. An uncomfortable silence was between them. "So.. How did you like Kantaa?" Wyatt asked Lucy, breaking the silence. "It was wonderful! The shops, the restaurant, the horses, everything! I really appreciate you taking me here." She beamed happily. "My pleasure.. Ma'am." He said with a grin. Lucy blushed. They got into Wyatt's car, another uncomfortable silence came spilling over them. "So umm.. About how you held my hand.." Lucy began. As she was about to continue, Wyatt began talking."I apologize for that.. Only a habit, I guess? I just was eager to show you Kantaa." He said quietly. "Well, it was wonderful. Thank you." Lucy said. And without thinking, she leaned over to the driver's seat and kissed Wyatt. He blushed in surprise. So did Lucy. "I.. I have no clue why I just did that.." Lucy responded as Wyatt began driving. "I'm quite surprised myself." He said, smiling. Lucy stared out the window. The moon shone through the clouds. It was beautiful.. But it made her think. She worried about Amy. Would she ever see her sister again? Many other thoughts whirled throughout her mind. Rittenhouse was a thought that never seemed to disappear. She shuddered at the thought of Rittenhouse ruining everything for her. And yes, that included her and Wyatt. Wyatt must've seen Lucy's worried face, because he broke the silence. "What's wrong?" He asked, concern clouding his icy blue eyes. Lucy admired his eyes.. "Just.. Worried." She replied. "Why?" He responded, trying to concentrate on the road. "Because of Rittenhouse, and getting my sister back. I had such a great time, I almost forgot about all of it." Well, and worried that it will affect us too, my love. She thought. "It'll be alright. I promise to keep you.. Well, everyone safe." He reassured her. "Thank you, Wyatt." She whispered. Before long, everything went black for Lucy. She drifted off to sleep; it had been a long day. Little did Lucy know, but as she slept, her head was on Wyatt's shoulder. Knowing that Lucy was asleep, he layed a kissed on her forehead as he continued to drive into the night. He admired the beauty of the night. But it wouldn't be beautiful without Lucy by his side. Perhaps he was falling for Lucy too?
