Chapter 32 ~ Back in Place With Drama & Secrets

A cold breeze blew into Lucy's face as she stared out the window. She stared at the blurred shapes of trees on the highway. A month had now passed since she was shot. She was now on her way home with Wyatt. Lucy no longer needed help walking, but had a cane just in case. Before long, she'd be able to go on trips through time. Oddly, she longed to return back to The Lifeboat. She knew that time would be in danger. Another odd thing was that Emma and Flynn hadn't jumped while Lucy was injured. Now that was a surprise. Everyone at Mason Industries was surprised and worried because they hadn't jumped. Everyone was assuming that they were up to no good. Which yes, that was true, but little did they know that Emma and Flynn were up to.. Nothing..

While Lucy, Wyatt, and Luke were driving home, Emma, Flynn, and their men were plotting for their next move. They had been charging the Mothership for the past month. They were waiting for the Time Team to be back in place. Flynn and Emma agreed that it was more fun to be chased by the pathetic little Time Team than go back and change history right away. It was currently late in the afternoon, and everyone was relaxing. Everything was quiet and peaceful until Tom had returned from somewhere. Flynn and Emma were sitting together and talking about their plans, and the guards were watching the Mothership. Flynn immediately turned around to face Tom, his brown eyes blazing with anger and confusion. "Now, you have some explaining to do, Tom. Where the hell were you?!" Flynn asked. Before Tom could answer, Emma spoke. "Yeah, you said that you were going for a 'walk' around the block.." She replied. Tom glared at them. "I thought maybe you'd be happy with what I was doing.. But sure, I will gladly explain." He told them. A silence fell over the warehouse. "And how are 'helping us' when you seem to disappear almost every day?" Flynn asked, breaking the silence. "You guys don't know what I've been up to, that's all." Tom grumbled. Emma narrowed her eyes at him. "Tell us, Tom." She said firmly. "You'll never believe where I was. All of those excuses for me 'taking a walk around the block was really me doing something.. Much different." Flynn and Emma exchanged glances. "Just spit it out, Tom." "Fine. I snuck into the hospital where Lucy was." He replied. "What?!" Emma and Flynn both said at the same time. "Exactly. My sister, Daniya, and her friends work there. But my goody two-shoes sister was about to beat the shit out of me when she found out I was sneaking in. I held her and her friends at gunpoint. I would've shot them if they didn't update me on Lucy's recovery." Tom finished. "Wow." Emma said. She had no idea that Tom was doing this. "Thank you, Tom. So what is the deal with Lucy and the pathetic Time Team?" Emma asked. Tom narrowed his eyes. "She has healed. Last time I saw Nadja, one of Daniya's friend, that's what she told me. And Lucy and Wyatt just left the hospital this morning. Nadja said that Daniya and Lucy had a 'surprise' for Wyatt, but she didn't even know what the hell they were talking about. So that's weird." He replied. "So in other words, Lucy has healed, and the Time Team will soon rise again. But no worries, my friends, we will rise too." Tom said, evil glinting in his eyes.

Lucy stared out the window. The sun was shining in her eyes, making her feel that she might go blind. So many thoughts were swirling through her mind. Wyatt glanced over at her, then quickly looked back to the road. "What's wrong, Luce?" He asked her. Lucy had been pulled out of her own little world and back into reality. "Nothing.. Just.. Happy and tired, that's all." She said, forcing a smile. Wyatt smiled warmly at her, then turned his gaze back to the road. But wait, there's more.. There is something I haven't told you, my love.. But I'll tell you when the time is better.. Lucy thought. Yeah, wait, because that's a good decision.. Amy said.

Hey everyone! It feels so weird to be updating right now. I have writer's block, but at the same time I don't.. Heck, I probably was just too busy to update XD

Anyways, hopefully I'll have the next couple of chapters out soon, with the help of my dear friend, @Maplefang. We have come up with  a great idea for time travel.
