11) I'm Here

Lapis POV
Knock knock..
"OKAY WE LEAVING OURSELVES IN!"
Me and Peridot look at the door which is swung open and revealing Amethyst and Pearl.
"Oh what happened in here!?"
Pearl sqwauked (hehe XD)
Me and Peridot look at each other to see our faces still tear stained and flustered.
"Nothing Pearl"
Peridot said calmly.
"Well anyway we brought Lapis some things to help with what happened with the fainting so here!"
Pearl hands us the things.
"Well, we need to head back, we're going to a show!"
Amethyst cuts in.
"Yeah! It's gonna be AMAZING! Steven is also coming but still!"
I giggle.
"Well, you three have fun!"
We wave them off and they leave. I then look at Peridot and peck her in her nose, making her jump.
"HEY!"
I giggle more.
"Is a crime to kiss my girlfriend now?"
She then blushes in embarrassment.
"Uhh, I..umm, no?"
I stand up and walk to her, holding her chin and I bend down to her height.
"Stop being cute or I'll die"
Peridot blushes more, pouting.
"Hey what's that face for?"
"I'm not cute!"
I kiss her quickly on the lips.
"Ha you wish you weren't!"
I walk to make dinner, hearing Peridot mumble. I giggle more.
Peridot POV
I walked into the kitchen realising how strange Lapis was acting, I shrug it off and continued my day, setting the table, eating dinner and then watching some T.V. I then noticed Lapis' was acting worse, she wouldn't even crack a smile, not even at the funniest parts in Camp Pining Hearts! (Lol imma poet!) it started to worry me.
TIMESKIP to morning!
"Peri! I don't feel good!"
Lapis moans at the table.
"Then stay here"
"I know but what about the teachers?"
"They'll be fine just, stay at home, rest for a bit, maybe you'll feel better.."
She nods.
"Thanks..."
I get ready for school, I grab my phone? Kiss Lapis who is in her room resting and head to school. After a long day, it was my final class and I had to present a presentation to my class. I was half way through when my phone buzzed.
"Miss. Diamond, your phone?"
I laugh nervously and answer.
"Ugh Mam I'm in the middle of-"
"PERI THIS IS NO TIME! I WALKED IN TO YOUR APARTMENT WHEN I SAW YOUR FRIEND ON THE GROUND IN BLOOD!!"
Tears gathered together in my eyes.
"WAIT LAPIS!? ILL BE THERE!"
I quickly run out and kept running until I reached the house, I opened the door to find my Mam, bandaging up a knocked out Lapis.
"Lapis!"
I ran over and knelt beside her.
"Mam, you know I don't like you coming into my place, but thank the stars I never told you to stop!"
I cried. Holding my girlfriend's hand.
"Well, it just goes to show how right I am to do so!"
I smile at her.
"Well I'll be off! There's extra bandages and pain killers in the press if you need them Hun"
I smile.
"Thanks Mam.."
She waves and leaves and I'm left in the silent apartment with my knocked out girlfriend.
My phone rings and I answer.
"Hello?"
"PERIDOT!"
"Oh, hey Pearl"
"What happened? You never leave a presentation!"
"Well, I'll explain later!"
I see Lapis wake up.
"I-I gotta go!"
I end the call and watch Lapis wake up. Tears fill my eyes.
"Lapis?"
She tears up.
"Peri I'm sorry..."
I get confused.
"What?"
She lets tears fall from her eyes.
"I'm sorry.."
"For what?"
"I did..'it'.,"
I become shocked.
"you....cut yourself Lapis! You told me that you would call me-"
"I know! I didn't want to disturb you from school..."
I tear up.
"Lapis! Anytime! anywhere I will answer that phone to you! If I'm in the middle of a test I can and will answer you! Do you understand!?"
She cries but with a small smile.
"Thank you Peri...."
She hugs me and I hug back.
"I'm here..."
