17) Exam Stress

Peridot POV
"So Lapis! What's the different parts of the heart?"
I look into her biology book and look back at her.
"Uh..there's the...um..Peri I can't!"
I look at her sorrowfully and then sat beside her on the bed.
"Hey, hey it's okay! You'll get there!"
I place my hand on hers.
"But the exam is in two weeks! How will I get it all studied!?"
I thought.
"Okay! From now on we'll do it my way!"
She looks at me confused.
"Your way?"
"Yes Lapis! It goes with a few conditions! One, no parties-"
"WHAT!? But Amethyts's final smash is on Saturday!"
"Lapis! Focus!"
She rolls her eyes.
"Okay so second! You STUDY!"
"Ha yeah.."
I groan.
"Lapis! You need to! That's the only way!"
"Ugh fine! When do I start?"
I grab loads of her textbooks.
"Right Now!"
I drop them on her desk.
"So you don't want to go on our date which is in exactly a half an hour?"
Oh shit I forgot.
"Oh, uh... IT STARTS LATER!"
She laughs with a smirk.
"Good"
(Timeskip to next Saturday)
"Okay Lapis! What is the lens in the human eye?"
"....concave?"
I look in the textbook.
"Convex.."
"UGH!!"
I look up at her, tears start to fill her eyes. I quickly sit beside her and wrap my arm around her.
"Lapis please I don't like seeing you cry, it hurts me.."
"I'm sorry...."
She wipes her tears.
"I can't help it, the exams are starting Monday, and if I fail....I won't get to be with you..."
"What do you mean?"
Lapis looks down at her hands.
"I was called to the principals office because if my grades, they said if I failed this exam, I would be moved to a different school in Empire City, which means they'll make me move out...PERI I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE YOU!"
She cries and hugs me tight. An idea sparks in my head.
"Lapis, it's very late, let's get some sleep, I have a great idea!"
Lapis nods and we head to bed. When I wake up, I check the time, 6am, perfect.
"Lapis?"
I whisper.
"What?"
She groans.
"We need to start on my idea!"
"Ugh okay!"
We get up and have breakfast.
"So what is this idea?"
"We'll we go on a run!"
"What?"
"Yeah it helps clear the brain and increase brain activity!"
She looks at me weirdly.
"Okay dork!"
(Timeskip to night)
"Okay now we start on the study!"
"PERI ITS 10 AT NIGHT!"
"I know I know but, this is how I studied, I stay up late on the night and study everything and then it's fresh in my head for the rest! Easy peasy!"
"But I'm wrecked!"
"Ah ah ah! No complaints! We have until tomorrow to get all that information in your head!"
"Okay...lets do this!"
And so we stayed up all night.
(Morning)
Lapis POV
I wake up and realised I slept by the coffee table, a book was on my face, I looked over in the kitchen and saw Peridot cooking.
"Morning Lazuli!"
How is she so calm about the exams.
"M-morning Peridot"
I let out a yawn and sat up to eat.
"What time did we go to sleep at?"
"It was around 6:30"
"Oh my stars I'm gonna fail"
Peridot gave me a waffle. She then went around and hugged me.
"You'll do great babe"
"Babe?"
She blushed a lot.
"Ah-pfft, no! I said uh Lapis!"
"Peridot Stop!"
"Okay..."
I giggle and eat the rest of the waffle, I then get dressed and grab my bag, Peridot does the same and we head to school.
"Lapis, are you okay?"
"Y-yeah, I'm....scared....I don't want to leave.."
"Lapis.."
She wraps her arms around me, she then places her hands on my cheeks and she pulls me in for a kiss, we break apart.
"Lapis, you won't fail, trust me..."
She whispered.
We then went in and done the tests, and boy was I in for it....
