4) The Parents

Peridot POV
It has been 4 months now and Lapis getting sick was starting to go away, thank the stars! My phone buzzes beside me, I pick it up.
"Hello?"
"Oh hunny! It's your mother!"
"Oh hi Mam!"
"I'm gonna be visiting for the weekend!"
My eyes widen.
"T-that's great Mam..."
"Peri? Is there something wrong Hun?"
I hesitate.
"N-no! Everything is alright!"
"Okay hunny! See you this weekend!"
"O-okay b-bye!"
I hung up and Lapis looked at me confused.
"What is it?"
"My Mam!"
"What about your-"
"She's coming for the weekend!"
Lapis still confused.
"What's wrong with that?"
"She doesn't know about the baby! What will she think!? I was gonna tell her we adopted it but WHAT WILL SHE THINK!?"
"Peri! Peri, calm, it's okay! We just have to explain to her"
"You don't know my mother! You don't know her at all!"
Lapis then kissed me on the cheek, I froze.
"Look, we'll tell her, whatever she does, we will get through it and everything will be just fine!"
I sigh and then nod.

Timeskip cause I'm lazy as shit!

Lapis POV
I heard a knock on the door, obviously knowing it's her mother, I open the door.
"Hello Lapis! How are you?"
I smile at her.
"I'm good 'mom'"
She smiles at me.
"That's my girl! Where's Peridot?"
"Well she's changing so she'll be gone for a bit, why don't you come sit down!"
I gesture her to come in and she walks in. I closed the door and sit on the couch beside her.
"Well you kept this place neat! How do you do it?"
"Well, I'm off work for a few months! I usually just clean around the place"
Turquoise joined us, she jumped and sat on my lap, nestling into me and falling asleep.
"Oh look!"
Peridot's mom awed at the cat.
"Yep! That's Turquoise!"
I start rubbing her fur. I then hear her purr.
"H-hey Mam!"
Peridot says, joining us on the couch.
"Oh hunny! How are you?"
Peridot smiles nervously.
"O-oh I'm doing fine!"
"Well that's good! Any news?"
Me and Peridot look at each other, we nod at each other and I stand up to grab the pictures. I managed to grab them and I went back into the room.
"Hey Lapis! Care to show Mam the thing?"
I nod, smiling. I walk over and hand the pictures over. Her mother looks at them, she covers her mouth and tears filled her eyes. Me and Peridot exchanged worries looks until I felt arms wrap around me.
"Oh my goodness Lapis! I'm so happy!"
I was shocked, but then smiled, hugging back. We break away from the hug and I look at Peridot, she looked shocked so I exchanged a smirk to show that I was right and she was wrong.
We ate dinner and had a chat for awhile, we then decided to hit the hay, her Mom took the spare room and we obviously went into our own. We sat down in the bed.
"See! I told you!"
Peridot pouted.
"It was luck!"
I giggle.
"Are you sure about that?"
She giggled and playfully pushed me, but she knows not to do it too hard.
"Don't do the John Cena thing!"
I quickly jump out of bed.
"DUH DUN NUH DUH!!"
I sang, dabbing, Peridot giggles and drags me back on the bed.
"That's old!"
I smirk.
"I know!"
We giggled. We started talking about more things, then something came into my head.

"What will we name it?"
