(5) A Big Buff Cheeto Puff

Lapis POV
Me and Peridot walked to school the next day, I still can't believe we skipped school. We walk in and nobody's here.
"Did we miss something or?"
"Oh stars! We're late!"
We both run into the classroom. Everyone looks at us weirdly, the teacher however smiles at us.
"Hello girls! Why were ye late?"
"Our clock was in the wrong time so, we thought we were early..."
She gestures us to sit down so that's what we did. During the first few classes we were glancing at each other, I don't know why, I think it's because we live together and know each other, is that what people do? My thoughts soon stop when the bell rings for break, I immediately get up and pack my things, then I was greeted by not Peridot, but the big buff cheeto puff.
"Hey Lappy! How's it goin?"
I look at her weirdly.
"Hey Cheeto puff,  I'm not Lappy, it's Lapis lazuli, and also don't talk to me ever again.."
I walk off but she still follows.
"Why not?"
I ignore her and keep walking.
"Excuse me I'm talking to you!"
I still ignore her, she then grabs my shoulder and yanks me to her and she pins me to the locker.
"Lapis! What do I have to do to be with you again!?"
I make no eye contact with, but I was trembling with fright.
"Nothing...."
"What!?"
I get angry.
"I said NOTHING! I don't want to be with you!"
She unpins me.
"Why not!?"
I look at her like she's stupid.
"Are you serious!? After you abused me and hurt me! You say WHY FREAKIN NOT!!"
"Lapis?"
I turn to the right and see Peridot. I run over to her.
"Peri!"
"Lapis! You ditch me for that nerd!?"
I look at her and then walk away, dragging Peridot in the process.
"Lapis, she abused you?"
I said nothing, I drag her outside the building. I then lean against the wall and start sobbing.
"I didn't want to tell you, it still scares me so I try not to t-talk about it and *hic* I didn't want you to pity m-me and-"
She rushes beside me and hugs me, making me blush,'again with the blushing!'
"Lapis, it's okay, she won't hurt when I'm here okay, so hush now..."
I hug her back, still sobbing.
"Girls! Are ye okay?"
We both quickly stood up and saw Mrs. Quartz by the door.
"Oh uh, yes ma'am!"
She doesn't look convinced.
"If you're okay, why is she crying?"
Me and Peridot look at each other, I give her a don't tell her face, she nods.
"Don't worry ma'am, she is fine!"
Mrs. Quartz nods.
"Well then, just letting you two know, the bell rang over 5 minutes ago so please get to your classes!"
"YES Ma'am!"
We both run to our classes.
Peridot POV
We walk into class and everyone looks at us weirdly, especially Lapis since her cheeks were tear stained. School soon ended and we walked home, I look up at Lapis, her hair is a navy blue, I would never think the colour matches so well with her dark skin, I'm not afraid to think this anymore but she's cute! I, Peridot Diamond, have a crush on Lapis Lazuli!
Lapis POV
I look down at Peridot, she has cute little freckles, her blonde hair looks just the cutest on her, she's so nice a sweet, maybe a bit grumpy but that's what makes her her, she let me live with her, she comforts me and helped me, she cared for me.
