Peridot POV
I'm driving over speed limit but I don't care, I had to go to work, I said I'll stay, she refused! WHY DIDN'T I STAY!!
"I'm so stupid! What if something bad happens!?"
I'm watching to road, but my thoughts flooded my mind, my eyes were tearing up. I shouldn't have left her. I drove up to the hospital, parked the car and ran for dear life. I ran up to the service desk.
"WHERE IS LAPIS!?"
The woman looks at me confused, she looked at me up and down.
"What gives you a right to barge up in here?"
The woman says, I fume up.
"Excuse me! My wife is here! I demand to know where her room is!?"
The woman walks up to me.
"Now, you seem pretty short to be an adult, I'll need to see anything with your birth date on it-"
I grab my drivers license and handed it to her. She nods and hands it back.
"What's your, 'wife's' name?"
"L-lapis, Lapis Lazuli"
She checks the computer.
"Room 437, but you have to wait outside"
I nod and started running to the elevator. I arrived at the 4th floor and ran pass loads of doors.
"435...436....43- yes!"
I stop at the door and a nurse comes out.
"Who are you?"
The nurse asks me. I groan.
"I'm Peridot Diamond I'm here to see my wife!"
She nods. What's with everyone and nodding.
"She's pretty tired but you can go in"
I push pass the nurse, running through the door.
"Lapis!?"
I look at the bed.
"Peri!"
She smiles and tears up. I walk over and hug her.
"I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have left you"
"No no, don't apologise, I told you to leave!"
I break away from the hug.
"Are you tired?"
She giggled.
"I was until you came!"
"Well what do you want to do?"
She thought.
"Well, we can talk! Just chat"
"That sounds like a plan!"
So that's what we did, them Lapis clutched her stomach for a few seconds and then let go.
"Are you okay?"
She nods.
"Y-yeah, I'm just gonna be getting pains every once in awhile, until it gets closer to the time when it will get worse"
"O-okay, should we sleep it's like 12am?"
She nods, I set up a little place on the couch, Lapis gets herself comfy and we fall asleep.

Timeskip

Lapis POV
I woke up to me sneezing, I felt so bad.
"Hey Lapis!"
Peridot walked beside my bed and kissed me on the cheek.
"You look really flustered"
I sneeze again.
"R-really?"
Peridot nods.
"Here!"
She places her hand on my forehead.
"Yeah you're really hot!"
The nurse then comes in to check on me.
"Oh Ms. lazuli, I think you have a fever"
"W-what does that mean?"
"It means that the baby is gonna be born with a fever too, so it will need to be born a bit early so we can help it"
Me and Peridot look at each other.
"Don't worry, nothing will happen, you'll just be put on a few medications and some injections to help get the baby out early"
I nod, Peridot looks a bit worried, I hold onto her hand for comfort.

Timeskip

Peridot POV
I'm holding onto Lapis' hand, her grip was nearly crushing mine.
"Lapis, you can do this okay?"
She looks at me, she had tears in her eyes, I frowned at her. I tighten my grip on her hand.
"You can do this"
She smiles at me and focuses. It was all a blur until I heard a cry. A baby's cry, I look up at the nurse, she held a baby in her arms. I look down at Lapis, her eyes were half open, obviously tired, she had a weak smile on her face. Tears of joy filled my eyes.
"Lapis, you did it"
She smiles and giggles weakly.
"I-I'm a bit tired...I-I'm gonna s-sleep"
"L-Lapis?"
I watched her, her eyes closing slowly, her hand slipping away from mine.
"L-Lapis!?"
The heart monitor made a long beep. All the sounds drained away, I knelt there, beside her, she's gone...

Lapis POV

I was in a black void. Did I die? Where am I?
"Lapis?"
I heard a familiar voice, a voice I never heard since one birthday. I turn around quickly to see my Mam.
"Mam!?"
Tears filled my eyes and I run up and hug her.
"Lapis you can't leave yet!"
I look at her.
"Lapis! You have a wife and child waiting for you! You can't leave them this early.."
"M-Mam.."
"Lapis, I need to tell you that I love you, I don't know why your father done that to you, I was sad I wasn't there when you were hurt by your girlfriend, when you cutted, when you met her, when you married her, but it makes me happy in my heart that I saved you that day, or else none of this would've happened!"
I tear up but smile.
"Make sure to never think that that was your fault!"
"O-okay Mam!"
"Now Lapis, wake up!"
I nod
"Wake up!"

I take a huge gasp of air. All the nurses surrounded me, all shocked. Suddenly I saw the nurses being pushed and there she was. Peridot, she was holding something in her arms.
"Lapis!"
Peridot ran and hugged me so tight.
I giggled weakly.
"Yes Peridot?"
"Lapis I thought you left us!"
"Us?"
She showed me it. Our child. I slowly grabbed it and cradled it in my arms. It's adorable face.
"Lapis it looks so like you"
"I wish it had some of you in it"
We both giggle. The nurses and doctors checked on me and left me alone with Peridot and the baby. Surprisingly, the baby in fact didn't come out with a fever, which the nurse said was very odd but good thing.
"Its so beautiful"
I smile.

"Welcome to our world Aqua, our daughter"
