10) I'll Protect You

Lapis POV
I lay in my bed, just the thought of what Jasper did to me in class made me shudder, I then remember what she done before, the horrible things she done before. Peridot arrived into our bedroom and gave me soup. I stayed quiet and started to eat it, Peridot sat by my side.
"Lapis, what did Jasper do to you?"
I start to get nervous, stuttering umms and uhhs.
"What did she do to you in class?"
I take a breath of relief.
"Well, she asked what happened on Friday and I said I wouldn't tell her and then.... And then..."
My eyes start to tear up.
"She...s-she t-touched m-me....not in just a touch...I mean.."
Just by seeing Peridot's face showed me she knew what I meant. I then realised I was being engulfed in a hug, I start to sob on my girlfriend's shoulder.
"Lapis, that's illegal she can't do that!"
Peridot quietly shouts, her teeth now gritted.
"Peri?"
"Lapis! I'm not leaving her do this to you-"
"ITS TOO LATE!"
I shout, soon regretting.
Peridot POV
I stare at my girlfriend in shock.
"What do you mean it's, too la-?"
I then realise what she meant....
I see her eyes tear up again.
"....no..."
I mumble, shaking my head in disbelief, she couldn't, no..
"...did she..?"
Lapis' eyes tear up more, now once again crawling down her cheeks.
"No! ...bitch..."
I clench my fists.
"NO! How? WHAT?"
I bang my fist against the wall.
"BITCH!"
"PERIDOT!"
I jolt up and look at Lapis, tears still in her eyes.
"We can't change anything now, it's too late, I will be haunted with that thought for my life, getting angry won't get us anywhere!"
I stare at her, tears then fall from my eyes, I embrace her in a tight hug.
"Lapis I'm sorry....."
"Hey, hey, it's not your fault, it's my fault, I shouldn't have trusted her...."
"B-but-"
"No buts Peridot"
I look at my girlfriend straight in the eyes.
"I'm going to protect you, you are going to be safe and if she EVER lays a finger in you again....

She'll pay..."
