Peridot POV
We wait for our plane to arrive at the airport.
"When will it be here?"
Lapis groans, leaning her head on my shoulder.
"Like I kno-"
'Plane to New York will be arriving shortly, please make your way to the plane entrance door'
I smile at her.
"Guess it's here!"
She jumps up and drags me to the queue. We show them our tickets and passports and we then head into the plane. By the looks of things we'll be one our way in no time.
Timeskip!
It was night out and me and Lapis were sharing a small TV to watch a movie together. Of course Lapis wants to pick Finding Dori, I knew she would. She cuddled up next to me and leant her head on my shoulder. I kiss her on her forehead and she giggles a bit. We slowly fell asleep.
MORNING!
The plane finally lands after a long trip. We grab our bags and head to a taxi to take us to our hotel. The hotel was near Central Park. We arrived and we settled into our hotel room. We both fell onto to bed and sighed in relief.
"We're here huh?"
"Yeah!"
We start unpacking our things and I noticed Lapis take out a big stuffed whale.
"Lapis"
She looked at me and giggled.
"What! You weren't expecting me to leave with my favourite plush were you?"
I rolled my eyes playfully and continued to unpack. Once that was done we decided to hit the city and do some shopping.
Lapis POV
"Wow! It's so cool here-"
"Watch it!"
She pulls me to the other side of the path and a person past cycling their bike.
"Thanks!"
We went into a few shops, I got some cute dresses, Peridot got some Merch that she couldn't get back at home.
We then went to get dinner, we went to TGI Fridays because why not! We then headed back to the hotel, when we arrived in the room, I walked onto the balcony, I looked at the view of Central Park. It was lit up, the whole city was. It was quite pretty except for the constant beeps and smell of fuel but other then that it was beautiful, I then felt an arm wrap around my waist. I looked at Peridot and smiled.
"It's so pretty!"
I say.
"Yeah, it is...."
I look at Peridot again, she seemed a bit off.
"Peri? Are you okay?"
She looked up at me.
"Sorry, I just get easily homesick that's all..."
I hug her and she hugs back. I drag her on to the bed and hugged her there, I lightly kissed her cheek and her neck, making her giggle.
"There's my happy Peri!"
She rolled her eyes playfully.
"Shut up!"
She giggled.
"Nah, I think you need more!"
I smirked at her making her blush.
