Let's meet

Chaeyoung looks up on her phone with Max on her right hand. She has been thinking whether she should tell Jungkook or not that she cannot go out with him tomorrow. She was also hoping that Jungkook would accompany her again today but no, he did not come.

"Should I call him? Max, tell me.", she said to the stuffed doll as she kissed its head. Then, she looks at Jungkook's name on the phone screen again. "Let's try calling once, okay?", she said before tapping the green phone call icon.

Jungkook takes a shower after enjoying a night jog around the neighbourhood. He feels great to have done that activity like how human does it because he missed a lot of it before.

"He doesn't pick up.", Chaeyoung said while facing Max and putting her phone on the table. "Text him? Yeah, he'll read it, right?", she said like she is talking to the doll. For her, she feels happy to talk to Max and Poppy, the cat that always come in the morning at the house rather than with her step family.

After sending Jungkook a short message, she gets ready to sleep and closes the table lamp before lying down on the bed hugging Max tightly.

Jungkook wears a black T-shirt and a white trousers before taking his phone that is put on the coffee table at the living room. He sees a white colour blinking which means that there is a new message.

He sits on the couch calmly and opens the inbox. He sees Chaeyoung's name and opens the message right after.

'Jungkook, I'm sorry I can't see you tomorrow. Next time I promise I'll make it up to you.'

He read it and deleted it without waiting. "We will be meeting tomorrow.", he said with a grin. He has already planned something so that he can still meet her no matter what happens.

Jungkook knocked on the door of Chaeyoung's house two times. No one comes out. After the third knock, Chaeyoung opens it as Jiwoo told her to. She is a bit shocked to see Jungkook there that she asked him if he did not get her message.

Before he can answer, Jooyeon comes to the door and sees them. "Oh, are you Chaeyoung's friend?", she asked as polite as possible. For Chaeyoung, Jooyeon is totally a great person at faking her attitude.

Jungkook nods and even introduces his name to her. "Hello. I'm Jeon Jooyeon, Chaeyoung's omma.", she said with a fake smile. Even Jungkook knows it. Yeah, he reads her mind.

Jiwoo comes to the door too and when Jooyeon is about to introduce her to him, he cuts off. "I'm Chaeyoung's boyfriend. Yeah... I'm sorry I didn't come sooner to meet you two, her family members.", he said calmly.

Hearing it, Jiwoo and Jooyeon both widened their eyes before giving an eye contact to Chaeyoung. Even Chaeyoung herself gave Jungkook a slight stare for what he just said. "Don't scold her. I was the one telling her to keep it a secret for some time. I'm sorry...so much.", Jungkook said after the silent moment.

Jiwoo prepared the meals for lunch with Jooyeon at the kitchen. They whisper to each other about what they just heard. The guy friend of Chaeyoung is actually her boyfriend, they cannot believe it.

While they are busy preparing, Chaeyoung and Jungkook just keep quiet with each other at the dining table. They sit side by side but they do not talk as Jungkook said that he can handle what he is doing...and that is the only thing they talked about.

Then, Jooyeon comes with a tray together with Jiwoo. They put the trays carefully on the table and take their seats. Jiwoo sits in front of Jungkook while Jooyeon is in front of Chaeyoung. "Shall we eat now? Jungkook, you have to taste these. Chaeyoung cooked.", Jooyeon said while giving a small bowl of rice to him.

Even though it is true that Chaeyoung cooked all of the meals, she feels annoyed with Jooyeon's fake good manners in front of Jungkook.

When they are eating, Jooyeon suddenly asked Jungkook how did he met Chaeyoung. Jungkook clears his throat before answering the question. "We met 2 weeks ago. It was so fast, I fell in love with her first. Yeah, no lie. She was so hard to get but I got her now.", he said.

Then, he read Jooyeon's mind that thought of Chaeyoung as such a damn girl to play hard to get with someone. 'Who does she thinks she is?'-Jooyeon's mind thought.

"I fell in love with her kindness, to be truth. She's such a humble and honest person. If not because of her, I might never find my wallet at the café she worked.", he adds, trying to change Jooyeon's view on Chaeyoung.

'Huh, so much good on her. Boring but he's quite good-looking.'-Jiwoo's thought of Jungkook.

'This kid looks good but does that the only thing he has to show up bravely like this?'-Jooyeon guessed.

Chaeyoung stays quiet as she tries to focus on the fake information about their relationship that Jungkook told her step family. She has to be careful not to slip any of those information in the future in case Jooyeon or Jiwoo asks her about it.

"Ma'am, do you mind if I take Chaeyoung out for a while?", Jungkook suddenly asked making Chaeyoung looked at him in the eye. "Out? Where?", she replied. "Somewhere but I promise you. I'll bring her back before 10.", Jungkook said bravely.

"10?", Jiwoo suddenly speaks up. "Or 9, whichever you think is appropriate.", Jungkook suggested. Chaeyoung still has her eyes on him as she does not dare to look at Jooyeon anymore. Jungkook gives a warm smile at her and then, to Jooyeon.

"Before 10 it is.", Jooyeon finally allowing.

Jungkook stood up at that time and asked Chaeyoung to follow him. Jooyeon and Jiwoo also stood up. Chaeyoung is the last one to stands up from the chair, she is a bit puzzled that Jooyeon easily agreed to allow Jungkook takes her out.

"We make our move first, ma'am. Nice to meet you today.", he said before holding Chaeyoung's hand in his and walking out of the house afterwards. Both Jooyeon and Jiwoo are just standing still watching them.
