The Preparation

Jungkook opened the door for Chaeyoung as her step family got out of the car from the backseat. "Let's go have a look at the location.", he said as he takes her hand. Her step family try to ignore their sweet gestures by looking around the place.

"Jungkook, you didn't do what I said, right?", Chaeyoung asked as she looked around the place. "Let's walk a bit. You'll see for yourself.", Jungkook answered with a smile. Her step family followed them from behind while looking at their left and right which is only filled with oak trees.

After a while of walking, they stopped at the biggest oak tree located at the center of the undisturbed park. Some people are seen arranging the chairs under the two canopies for their wedding that will happen in two more days. Chaeyoung looked around with her mouth hanging open before she looked at Jungkook.

"Kookie, you...you did this for me?", Chaeyoung asked as she intertwined her hands with his hands. Jungkook could just nodded with a shy smile when Chaeyoung finally called him with the cute nickname. "You wanted an outdoor wedding at a park. This is it I give it to you.", he told her.

"But one thing is lacking. I'm sorry there's no lake here, Chae.", he added to which Chaeyoung giggled at it. She shook her head as she said that what is done is already good enough for her. She also said that she never thought he could really find a place like that for the wedding.

Her happy tears has filled both of her eyes and Jungkook quickly wiped away the tears before they fall. "Nuh-uh, don't cry. We're getting married in two days. I don't want you to be sad.", he said as he hugged her after that.

"Yah, I'm crying in happiness. Not in sadness.", Chaeyoung replied as she holds herself from tearing up again. While they are still hugging, Jungkook saw Irene walking to their direction so he lets go of Chaeyoung before Irene gets near. "Chaeyoung-ah, there's someone I want to introduce you to.", he said as Chaeyoung turned around.

As Irene stood in front of them, she greeted them with a warm smile. "Annyeonghaseyo, Irene. You're here. Please meet my future wife, Park Chaeyoung. Chaeyoung, this is Irene. My colleague.", he introduced the two young ladies to each other.

"Annyeonghaseyo, Irene-shi. You're a colleague of Jungkook? This is the first time he introduced me to his colleague.", Chaeyoung said as she shakes hands with Irene. "He's more like a brother to me actually. That's why I'm here to witness his wedding to this beautiful girl in front of me.", Irene replied.

Chaeyoung turned shy with Irene's words as she sees Jungkook smirking happily beside her. "By the way, can I borrow him for a while, Chaeyoung?", Irene asked and Chaeyoung quickly nodded before walking away from them.

Jungkook looked at Chaeyoung with her family walking further away before speaking up with Irene. "So, have you been here long?", Jungkook asked. Irene nodded before telling him she has already checked the whole area of the park. "Is it possible for you to guard this whole place alone?", he asked her.

"Sure, I can do it alone. You don't have to call Mino here.", Irene replied with confidence. Jungkook giggled a little after he heard Mino's name being mentioned. "What's with you and him anyway?", Jungkook asked as his eyes met Irene's stare.

"Me and him? There's no me and him. He's just a pain in the ass!", Irene answered half yelling to Jungkook as she walked away leaving Jungkook behind. He had to call her name as he walked faster to match her pace. "Hey, wait up. Okay, I'm sorry. I won't say anything about him anymore.", he said once Irene stopped walking.

Irene looked at him still with a glare. "Stop glaring at me. You're scaring me, noona.", Jungkook said jokingly. Irene almost hit him but she holds herself not to act so recklessly with him. "Stop calling me noona. We are just 'colleague', remember?", she chose to just say that instead.

"But you told Chaeyoung I'm like a brother to you.", Jungkook replied as he thrusted his jaw forward proudly. Again, Irene had to hold herself from hitting Jungkook and stared at him annoyed. "If I'm just a colleague of you and the only one you invite here, wouldn't that make her suspicious?", Irene scolded but she still keeps her voice calm.

Jungkook nodded before saying sorry for teasing her like that. Then, he gets serious back about the help he needs from Irene as he asked her for confirmation if she really is okay to keep the place secure by herself. Irene nodded again to him assuring him she is capable of doing it alone.

"Furthermore, you know that there's no other way than that, right? It's either I keep this place secure by myself or I put a spell to close this place from the vampire. But now we have no choice, right? If I put a spell here, you're both get affected too. You can't enter this place or you'll burn yourself.", Irene told him and reminded him of the decision she made.

Jungkook could only nod to her long explanation before turning to see Chaeyoung helping the people arranging the flowers. "Thanks for being here, Irene. I don't know how the wedding will go if you're not here to help me.", Jungkook said and Irene smiled at him.

"But promise me something. You must tell her the truth after the wedding's done, okay?", Irene asked of him and he nodded. "I will surely do it right away. I can't keep it a secret from her anymore. She needs to know.", Jungkook said as they walked to where Chaeyoung is.
