Friends...again?

Yeri told Chaeyoung that her 'cute friend' came to see her when she is changing her clothes to go back home. She eventually pulled Yeri close to her and whispered to her to not tell him that she is going home. "Why?", Yeri asked. "Just do as I say.", Chaeyoung said while going to the back door.

"'You're going home from there?", Yeri asked but Chaeyoung does not say a word. She just smiled at her and waved her goodbye before closing the door behind her. "Aish, what is her problem with that cute guy?", Yeri asked herself, puzzled.

After it has passed 5 minutes from 7 p.m., Jungkook felt weird as Chaeyoung is nowhere to be seen in the café so he looked for Yeri. He found her at the way to the washroom and asked her if she saw Chaeyoung to which she denied.

However, he alerted her looking away from his eyes for a while showing that she was lying. So, he pushed her to the wall slowly and looked her in the eyes. He asked her where Chaeyoung is and she answered that she has left a while ago.

Jungkook saw Chaeyoung who is walking to the neighbourhood already and chased her over. When he is near to her, he pulls her hand making her turned around to face him.

She is shocked with him doing like that to her. They stared at each other for quite some time in a silent moment. Jungkook intentionally acted that way to see how she will react with him. Chaeyoung blankly looked at him not knowing what to say.

She thought he must be angry for how she treated him these days. Avoiding him all of a sudden was just not really a thing she like to do. It hurts her just like how he is. Yeah, really hurt for both of them.

"Can I accompany you home?", Jungkook asked as if nothing happened between them, breaking the silence. Chaeyoung was shocked to hear the words because she really thought Jungkook is mad at her. She just can nod at him as a reply and they started walking together silently.

As they arrived in front of Chaeyoung's house, she stopped him and said that he can only reach till that point instead of till the doorway. However, Jungkook refused to listen and followed her. His actions really made Chaeyoung a bit furious with him.

"Don't you hear what I said?! Please go while I'm being nice with you, Jungkook.", she said. However, Jungkook shook his head innocently and put his finger on his mouth signaling her to keep quiet.

Just then, Jiwoo appeared from the door and saw them. She smiled brightly at Jungkook and asked Chaeyoung if she has already made up with him to which she could not answer as Jungkook interrupted quickly. He said that they are fine and that misunderstanding between them was just temporary.

He also boldly put his arm on Chaeyoung's waist making her a bit startled of his sudden move. Jiwoo looked disturbed and she excused herself before warning Chaeyoung to get in quickly if she does not want to be punished by her mom.

After the door is closed, Chaeyoung pulled Jungkook's hand and ran to the tree where they could hide from being watched by someone in the house. There, Chaeyoung asked Jungkook what was he doing and he just shrugged his shoulders.

"Really? You don't know? What do you think I am? Someone you can play as you like, is it?" she asked angrily.

"I'd never do something like that to you. I'm sorry if you think I was playing around with you but no. I'm serious.", Jungkook said in a sincere tone. "I know why you have been avoiding me.", he added making Chaeyoung stutteringly asked him what was it if he really know.

"It's your stepmother, right? Maybe your stepsister too.", Jungkook answered. Chaeyoung looked down on the ground, does not know what to reply to him. "Hey, it's okay. They will not bother you again to be with me.", he said while touching her chin making her face turned up.

When she asked him what did he mean, he asked her if they should just be a real couple and Chaeyoung quickly shook her head. "No way! You already know what they want of our fake relationship, how do you think they'll be if we're for real?", she asked.

"Relax. Just trust me. Be my girlfriend...for real?", Jungkook asked in a soft voice while caressing her shoulders. Chaeyoung does not know what to say but her face has turned red making Jungkook chuckled at it.

When she asked why, he said that she looked so funny when she is embarrassed. Because of that, she hit his shoulder before hitting the tree accidentally. "Are you okay?", he asked as he looked at her hand. "I'm fine.", she replied.

They both laughed at themselves before Jungkook stopped and looked at her without a blink. His reaction made Chaeyoung stood freeze and looked at him without saying anything. What happened next was not planned as she leaned against the tree when Jungkook moved closer to her and kissed her lips gently.

After that, he stepped back from her as he saw how shocked her face was. He asked her if she was okay but she does not give any reaction to the question. "I'm sorry I didn't mean it to be this way. I was just...I wanted to know if you want to be my girlfriend.", Jungkook said falteringly.

"That was a bold move to know if I want to be your girlfriend.", Chaeyoung suddenly spoke up. "It was, huh?", he asked while patting his head, trying to act innocent. "I think I'd better get inside my house now. Bye, Jungkook.", she said before walking speedily to her house.

"Aa...okay. Bye, Chaeyoung.", Jungkook said with hope that Chaeyoung would turn around but no. She did not and just closed the door without turning around. Jungkook was left puzzled and embarrassed of himself at the same time.

Chaeyoung buried her face on the bed and screamed herself out. She could not believe that she just had her first kiss that day. She took Max in her arms and said that she would of course be Jungkook's girlfriend even though she does not clearly state it in front of him.
