History

Jungkook ruffled Chaeyoung's hair which was disheveled on her forehead making her wake up from sleep. She looked at him beside her and then, at the clock on the table. "Good morning, chipmunk.", he said as he pinched her right cheek gently.

"Morning, Kookie.", she replied as she moved closer to cuddle up with him. Then,  Jungkook took his arms to hug her from behind and kissed her head that rested on his chest. "Jungkook, can you...tell me about your past?", she suddenly asked as she intertwined her hand with his hand.

"My past?", he asked back. "Yeah, Taehyung... I mean...", she stopped as she knew Jungkook did not like that vampire. "It's okay. Just say it, Chae.", he assured her. "He...told me that every vampire was once human before they turned.", she finished her word and Jungkook asked if Taehyung told her about his own past. "No, he didn't. He just told me about that because I asked him.", she said.

Jungkook nodded before asking her if she really wants to know his past. "Yeah, especially how did you became a vampire since you knew how I became one.", she told him and he said okay before he told her about it. He started by telling her he was just a man who came to Seoul from Busan to get a better job.

He had nobody so he had to find money himself to support his life. He was just 25 when he encountered the evil vampire. "Wait, you were 25?", Chaeyoung interrupted and he said yes. "You turned me when I was 25 too. Okay, go on with your story. Sorry I interrupted.", she said as Jungkook just smiled at her.

Then, he told her how he became a vampire. "I was actually looking for someone the night I met a vampire for the first time. Someone that I love for the whole of my life. Someone that stayed with me for long years when my parents left me when they died in an accident.", he paused until that point.

"I'm sorry, Jungkook.", Chaeyoung mouthed as she tried to look at his face. "It's okay. It's old story though.", he said before continuing. "I was shouting her name until I heard her cry calling for me. Then, I saw them. Yes, them because they were about five or six of them there surrounding her.", he said as he thought back of the moment.

"I saw one of them were drinking her by her neck. Another one was drinking at the other side of it. I hit the others with a wooden plank and they got startled. All of them then, looked at me and one of them instructed to make me be like them when they found out my relationship to her.", he told her.

"Why did they do that to you?", Chaeyoung asked as she played with his hand.

"Because it's my punishment. They said I interrupted them and as a punishment, they'll turn me into a vampire. It's also to make me suffer much more as I couldn't help her. I'm hopeless even though I tried hard to not drink their blood after they bit me.", Jungkook continued.

Chaeyoung nodded slowly as her eyes got teary listening to his story. "You didn't get to save her?", she asked him. "No, I saw her for the last time that night before I closed my eyes unconscious after being forced to drink their blood. I only woke up few days after that at another place.", Jungkook answered.

"If you want to know, I almost give up being alive again because I knew I wasn't the same. I lost hope to live and tried to just die. I didn't drink anyone's blood for days until I met another vampire. His name was Yoongi and he told me to stay alive. I thought he was just another bad vampire but he wasn't. He helped me to be a good one which didn't kill even though we still drink human's blood.", he added.

Chaeyoung then, got up and turned around to look at him. "You must love her so much, right? That you could lost hope to live after what happened.", she asked as their eyes met. "Yeah, I love her for all my life.", he said as he took out something on his neck that he hid under his shirt. Chaeyoung looked at it until she saw it was a necklace with a heart shape locket.

He opened it and gave it on her right palm. Then, Chaeyoung looked at it and saw two faces in the locket. One was Jungkook's face while the other one was a girl who she did not know who. "She's beautiful.", that was all Chaeyoung could say. "Yeah, her name is Jeon Somi.", he told her.

"Oh, she's your sister?", Chaeyoung asked after that. Jungkook let out a chuckle as he saw her reaction. "Yeah, you thought she's my girlfriend, is it?", he said while still chuckling at her. She glared at him and said that she did not say anything like what he thought.

"Yeah but I can feel you're jealous. I just can feel how you want to know who's this mystery girl that caught my attention before you.", Jungkook said making her hitting him with her pillow. "No, I don't. I'm just curious who's this girl is. That's it.", she said as she crossed her arms trying to deny him.

He kept on chuckling at her before asking for his necklace back. So, Chaeyoung stretched her right hand and showed the necklace to him with her pouty face. He stopped laughing as he slowly took the necklace. But when she thought he was just wasting time, he grabbed her hand and made her fell into his arms.

"Jungkook! What are you...", she asked when he embraced her tightly. "Shhh... I love you and you're the only one that caught my eye, Park Chaeyoung.", he whispered to her. They stayed that way for a while before Chaeyoung called his name out.

"I'm suffocating. Let me go.", she said softly and Jungkook did as told while smiling widely at her. Then, she got down from the bed and stand up stretching her hands in the air. "Where are you going?", he asked her. "I'm going to wash up and go make a breakfast for us.", she answered and went to the bathroom.

"Nooo... don't leave me alone.", Jungkook shouted  jokingly as he watched her closed the door ignoring him. "I'm only washing my face, Jungkook. I'm not going to be long in here.", she shouted back before turning the water tap letting the water flows out.
