Irene's Suggestion

After having a breakfast together, Jungkook had his shower while Chaeyoung waits for him at the living room. He had told her to have her shower but she refused. She just washed her face and said that she will just shower when she got home.

She actually is embarrassed with him when he told her that he carried her into the guest room after she fell asleep last night. She can't believe what he said because she doesn't realize at all that she was carried by him into the room.

She hopes that Jungkook can send her quickly before her face turned red again. She doesn't like it when he teases her because her embarrassed look will be so obviously seen.

"Ok, Jeon Jungkook. This is it. Today is the day. Let's do as Irene suggested.", he said to himself after he washed his face. He has made up his mind since last night's event. He doesn't know where that person is now but he knows what to do now. That is to follow Irene's suggestion.

Even though there is a risk of Chaeyoung doesn't believe him, he has to make sure that it will happen. He has to convince her that he wants her to be alive because he loves her.

Jungkook walked together with Chaeyoung to the door silently. He suddenly feels nervous about what he will do but he tries his best not to be caught by her. When Chaeyoung is just two steps away from the door, Jungkook stopped for a while and he takes out something from his jacket's pocket.

Then, he kneeled down just when Chaeyoung turned around to see him. She saw what he is holding in his right hand and asked what he is doing. "Will you...", his words were cut when the door is opened from inside revealing Jooyeon there.

"Will you marry me, Park Chaeyoung?", he still finished his lines even though Chaeyoung's stepmother sees them. For him, it's now or never to do it so he did it too even though it's not as romantic as how it is in the movies.

Chaeyoung's jaw gaped as she became speechless of what she just heard. Jooyeon on the other hand, closed her mouth in shock of what she just witnessed. At the same time, Jungkook remained kneeling as he smiled warmly looking at Chaeyoung.

"W... why...why in a sudden?", she replied with a question back in a shaky voice as she looked at him. Jungkook is still in the same position but he changed the ring to his left hand, probably had his right hand tired already.

"Is it? I remember when we met and that was 81 days ago which makes it almost three months of knowing you. For me, the amount of time doesn't matter much, Chaeyoung. As long as I know that my heart beats because of you, that is enough for me to be this brave to ask you that question.", he told her.

The words came out of Jungkook's mouth made Chaeyoung's eyes formed a pool of tears. Happy tears but she still couldn't answer his question earlier. Even Jooyeon is waiting for her to say something until Jiwoo also appeared at the door.

"So, Chaeyoung. Your family has gathered behind you and I'm a bit tired too kneeling this long.", Jungkook said as he is now holding the ring with his both hands. "I...yea... I mean, yes.", she finally answered with her voice getting wobbly as she can't believe what is happening at the moment.

Right after that, Chaeyoung's step family cheered for her in quite an awkward manner since they have their own reason to be happy for her. Jungkook knows they are faking to look happy for her but he let them be for now. What matters most for him now is just Chaeyoung.

He stood up from the ground and quickly takes Chaeyoung's hand to put the ring on her finger. At that time, he felt her tears fall on his hand and he looked up at her face. "Hey, don't cry. Why are you crying? I'm happy here so don't make me sad, Chae.", Jungkook told her as he wiped away her tears.

Then, he hugged her warmly for a moment as he tries to console her. When they ended the hug, Chaeyoung hit his shoulder before saying that she cried because of happiness. She also jokingly got angry with him because of his unromantic proposal. Plus, she haven't showered yet which makes it funny when she thought about it.
