Lose Them

Chaeyoung woke up from her sleep when she heard the door sound. She looked at it and saw Jungkook who just came home. "Kookie, you're home.", she said but Jungkook ignored her as he went to his own room. "Until when will you treat me this way, Kookie?", she asked slowly before sighing.

It has been a week since the incident at the prison. It has also been a week Jungkook did not talk to anyone including her. Even if Mino came to see him, he only listened quietly to him making Mino felt like he was talking to a statue.

He even not staying home a lot and only came back at night. The whole morning, he will be going out without telling anyone but Mino knew where he went to. He just went out to go to Yoongi's graveyard and stayed there for hours.

When Mino told Chaeyoung about it, she felt so guilty and tried several times asking for apology to Jungkook but he did not say a word. Even his face expression is blank and unreadable. Because of that, Chaeyoung stopped apologizing and tried to act like nothing bad had happened.

She tried to treat him right as they still live together in his old house. She made him breakfast but he did not eat. She made him dinner and waited for him but he came home late. She waited for him to come home until she fell asleep but when he got home...he ignored her.

Today she has made her decision. Maybe she should go out too and stop waiting for him. She has tried everything and even asked for Mino and Irene's help but nothing worked. He stayed the way he is which made Chaeyoung gave up on him.

"Hyung, have you...ever thought of being human again?", Jungkook asked as they were stargazing at the top of the mountain. It was weird for the two of them to do that activity but somehow, Jungkook liked it because the stars made him feel at peace.

"Being human? I did think of that before. But I don't know if there's a way though.", Yoongi said. "I met a wizard and he told me I can change only if I find my true love first.", Jungkook revealed to him. "Is there a way like that?", Yoongi asked as he turned to look at Jungkook on his left.

Jungkook looked back at him and nodded. "Yeah, hyung.", he replied instantly. "Okay. But that seems to be hard for me. I don't even know how to talk to girls yet alone have a liking to anyone.", Yoongi said with a little giggle in the end. "Say...you found your true love, Jungkook. If you have to choose to save one of us, who would you save?", Yoongi asked in a sudden.

His question made Jungkook frowned at him and Yoongi already knew what was in his mind. "I'm asking because I want you to say you'll choose your true love, Jungkook-ah.", Yoongi said to him. Jungkook frowned much more as he asked why he said that. "Because you'll live your whole life with that person. I'm just your friend, Kook. If ever you have to make a choice between us, choose that person over me. Alright?", Yoongi replied.

"Hyung...why are you saying like this?", Jungkook asked as he tried to read Yoongi's mind. However, Yoongi could just chuckled at his question. "I'm just asking, Kook. But I really think you should choose someone else. Don't choose me, I'm fine by myself.", Yoongi said as he got up from lying on the hard ground.

Jungkook followed him and looked at him to see if he is alright. "I'm okay, Jungkook-ah. This thing just crossed my mind so I asked you. Don't think about it so much.", Yoongi said with a little smile. "But you scared me.", Jungkook said to him which made him shook his head.

"Sorry, okay? Don't think about it anymore.", Yoongi said as he patted Jungkook's shoulder. "Well, hyung. If ever I have to choose, I'll choose both of you.", Jungkook said to him. "You can't, Jungkook-ah. Remember my story? I tried to save both my parents but I ended up lost them. I don't want that to happen to you.", he said.

"That's your story, hyung.", Jungkook replied and Yoongi nodded. "Enough with this conversation. Try to catch me, Kook.", Yoongi said before he dashed into the forest leaving Jungkook alone.

"Yoongi hyung!!", Jungkook screamed as his eyes opened wide. He looked around and found that he was sleeping in his bed. He changed his position to a sitting position and shook his head. "Why did I dream of hyung?", he asked himself as he knew that dream was when he last saw Yoongi before he went missing two years ago.

He thought about what Yoongi said to him at that time and suddenly remembered Chaeyoung. These past days has been painful for him and he forgot her. All he thought was about how he lost Yoongi, the big brother he looked up to since he became a vampire.

He thought of how he did not get to save Yoongi just because he was late to the scene. He did not blame anyone until Chaeyoung apologized. At that time, he realized that she was a part of it. She drank Yoongi's blood, she summoned him there too late but then again, he cannot blame her.

He knew she tried her best to summon him since that was the first time she did it. He just felt so hurt inside that he could not say anything to her. He felt blank and blamed himself for what happened to Yoongi.

After he washed his face, he went out of his room and looked for Chaeyoung in the room she stayed in. He wanted to call her and knock the door but he felt like he will just disturb her sleep if he do that. So, he tried to open the door slowly to check on her.

"Chae...", he said slowly as he managed to open the door that he thought was locked. When he looked inside, he saw the empty bed which looked tidy. It made him felt weird so he called her name louder but no one replied him. "Chaeyoung?", he said again as he walked into the room.

He cannot even sense her at that time which made him grew worried of her. "Chaeyoung?!", he called as he went out of her room. He checked the bathrooms and the kitchen and  the living room but no. She was not anywhere in the house.

"No, Chaeyoung. You never leave the house before. You never leave me.", Jungkook said as he sat on the couch at the living room. "Where are you, Chaeyoung?", he said as he rubbed his hands on his face. "I'm sorry.", he said slowly as he realized he could have lose both of his dearest ones now.
