Chapter three
———————
||•Black people don't knock doors•||

Eventually, I got off of the bed and pushed myself to the bathroom. I succeed because I am a fighter, a warrior. I will not let Tee bring me down.

Didn't he already...nvm

I few minutes later, I was out. "My mum is coming to pick me up but I think it's an excuse to see you because I can walk home." He told me from where he was sitting.

"What time?"

"I don't know. She didn't say. I don't mind staying for a little while—if you want me to." He dragged his last words and licks his pink-ish lips. I've watched too many movies and this guy was giving the signs of a player.

I had to change the subject, things were getting heated. My hunger for him was getting too much. He was looking a whole double whopper in a large meal right now.

"Shouldn't we like...maybe.. work on our assignments or something?" My voice was breaking, it was embarrassing. I kept clearing my throat—was an uncomfortable position to be in. Yes we had assignments to do- on paper.

Tee was enjoying my uncomfortableness for a fact, he continued to tease me. I didn't want to jet, mama ain't raise no b*tch.

I don't think your mum raised you to do that....

I ignored the the voice in my head. I went to get myself a drink from the fridge.

"Oi do you want another drink"- He came behind me and pulled me into him. I could feel him breathing on my neck. My neck is my weakness and he knew that.

When things were to take another step, his mama barged in, as if she was walking into her own house.

"Hello little Fen Fen, how is my baby doing? I've missed you." I enjoy seeing her—a loving soul.

"Heya Mrs Brown, miss you too. I'm good. How are you doing?"

She came towards me to give me a kiss and a hug. "I'm alright honey. I'm cooking dinner for all of us tomorrow. Be sure to remind your parents and Ferry. I'll see you at six."

Tee was ready to leave but his mum wouldn't stop talking to me. This woman loves me dearly.

"Mum let's go. I'll see you at Uni tomorrow Princess," he winked. Argh I hate him.

Mrs Brown always spoil us. I wish Tee and I could swap parents. I love my parents but sometimes they're just too much.

To keep it real, I would never trade my parents for anything in this world. Sure they can be a handful but I love them anyways, they're my best friends.

I end up doing my uni assignments while waiting for Ferry to come back home. My parents are still at my uncle's house.

Ferry finally came, "Mum and dad home? And what lie did you tell them." She closed the door quietly. Our parents don't let us out late or stay out late regardless of Ferry being twenty two and me being twenty.

For them, everything had to be planned which included telling them about where you want to go before one month in advance. It's a typical black people thing. And I don't know how she managed to go out every weekend.

My parents are always late wherever they go to. hypocrites. "Nah, still at uncle T's. Dinner in the microwave." I said while going upstairs to my room. It was breakfast for that matter.

"Thanks Puff." I could feel her smiling. "All good!" I yelled from upstairs. Soon as I hit the bed, Tee was all over my mind. Running through someone's mind should be a crime because it's  trespassing. Then I realise how dumb I sounded and shook my head.

I don't think whatever Tee and I have is healthy. In fact, it's unhealthy, a disease for that matter. A disease? Maybe you're exaggerating a little missy?

I tried doing my assignments some more but failed to do so. At one point, I wanted to just drive over to his house and do something stupid, but I stopped myself. What was I even thinking in the first place.

~Plot twist~

Tee and I have been best friends since our diapers days. That's why my parents trust him and he always help us with manly work especially now that Pop was sick. I'm scared because I really don't want to ruin our friendship over some silly needs or unsure feelings. They'll go away eventually...
