Chapter thirteen
——————————
||•Life support•||

I woke up confused. This is not my bed. I see Mrs Brown on the bedside sitting on a chair."Mrs Brown I had the worse dream, why am I here and where are my parents?"

"It's not a dream sweetie, something happened. Your parents had an accident. You fainted when you heard the news." This can't be happening. I got up in a hurry but my body is numb.

She might of said it harshly and it would have probably caused me shock but something about me everyone knows. I don't like it when people go around the bush. I prefer straight to the point.

"Let's go and see them," I said. "Seem like you can't walk, should lay down for a bit." Mrs Brown means well but I have to see my parents.

"Let's go see my parents," I repeated. She grabbed me by the shoulder and we went. My parents laying there lifeless and I know they're gone. I never believed in life support. Everyone that I know that were put on life support died.

"God if you listen to me this one time, just this one time. Please save my parents and I promise to be good." I prayed out loud.

"Mum I promise I will say good morning and good night everyday. Please wake up."

My parents were in seperate rooms, next door to each other. The Brown family has always been listed as our cousins, since Tee and I were kids. Something happened to Tee when we were kids and I was allowed to see him because I was family.

Only two people were allowed. I went to visit dad with Mrs Brown and left mum with Ferry and Tee.

"Dad I promise, I will be there through your treatments. You're supposed to walk Fur down the isle and then me. You guys can't leave us. We wouldn't know what to do without you guys. Please be strong." Tears were just running down my face, I didn't have control over them. I tried not to cry but tears came like waves.

"Fur, help me pray to God, he'll listen to us. He has to. Mum and dad have to be grandparents first. They'll have to witness your marriage and mine. Live life to the fullest for themselves. Please let's pray." I grabbed her by the hand. Ferry was crying on my shoulders. We were sitting outside.

"Dear Heavenly Father, please I will not take my parents for granted anymore. Let them wake up tomorrow, instead of mum cooking breakfast for me, I'll cook breakfast for them. I'll spend everyday with them. Please let my family go back to normal. Amen"

I turned around to face Tee and Mrs Brown. Mrs Brown held me in her arms. "Do you think God heard my prayers, maybe I should pray some more."

Tee got some food and drinks. "Eat something Princess," I look up at him and he was holding his tears back, trying to be strong.

"I'm not hungry."
"Come on baby eat something," Mrs Brown said. Ferry has now put her head in between her knees.

"Everything will be okay Fur, have faith." She tried to force a smile but nothing showed. She gave me a long cuddle. "Mmm," she nodded. I hate to lie to my sister. I'm praying that life support proves me wrong. I know it's hypocritical of me but those people are my life.

I'm not ready to be on my own. We still need directions. This world is too cruel for us to handle alone by ourselves.

I must've slept in Ferry's arms. My uncle, his wife and kids were here. My uncle and his wife went to visit dad first then mum. The kids were sitting outside. One of them is my age, Charlie.

"Hey cuz, how are you?" Charlie asked. when I didn't answer he followed up on his question, "I'm sorry such a stupid question to ask."

"Charlie, thank you for your concern cuz, I'll be alright when your uncle and aunty are back to normal."
