Chapter thirty-seven

The count down for my sister's engagement had begun. I called Trevor around twelve pm to tell him we were going to uncle daddy's house to get the ring.

I told everyone I was going to see my therapist.

"Moochi?"

"Don't call me that. You're not family to me anymore."

He let us in and the kids raced toward me to give me a hug. I've missed these cousins of mine or should I say half siblings.

Moochi, we've missed you."

"Hey you big babies, I've missed y'all too. What's been happening."

They grabbed me by both my hands to show me their new toys and video games.

"This is Trevor, Fur's boyfriend."

They introduced themselves and they seemed to like him. Who wouldn't like him, he was a down to earth person. Kerry the six year old said he loved him more for bringing them gifts.

I didn't know how he found the time to buy gifts. I didn't even had enough time to sleep and yes I woke up at eleven o'clock but I needed more sleep.

"Hello Moochi, it's good to see you again my munchkin."

"Aunty." I went in for a hug. She was preparing lunch by the looked of it. My aunty was not involved in her husband's corruptions, it was just that everywhere she was, my uncle daddy was there. But I should find the time to see her more. I loved her and she loved us.

"Aunty you can come over anytime with the kids, you know that. Anyways we're here for a family matter."

She put the food on low heat and sat on the couch. Her husband joined us.

"Is everything okay."

"Yes aunty, everything is fine. This is Trevor, your niece's boyfriend." Trevor said his greetings and cut right to the point.

"We're here because I am interested in Ferry. I want to propose to her. Fenty here has told me about the family ring."

They both were very happy considering how Trevor apparently presented himself. When aunt Mary told Trevor he was such an handsome young man, he blushed and it was the funniest thing because he struggle to say thank you.

"Anyways, Pops left the ring with you Mr. Magoro. We would like to take it with us for a redesign before this proposal take place in two weeks."

"Mooch"- Didn't I tell this lost sheep to stop calling me that. It boiled my blood when he tried to call me by the name that was created by my family.

I know it was very hypocritical of me to feel more betrayed by him when Mama and Pops did the same thing. I guess it was easier to be angry at him because he was alive and that was unfair but I didn't know how to handle with it.

"Sorry, Fenty."

"I honestly don't have time to be mending our relationship right now Thomas. Please respect that. Give us the ring and we'll be on our way."

Thomas went to their room and got the ring. Aunty on the other hand wanted us to stay for lunch. I told her we had to get that done.

"Just know that, I will never stop apologising until you forgive me. Tell Charlie I've missed him—I've missed all of you."

"Quite frankly, we all dislike you Thomas. But give it time. Bye kiddos!" I found myself in a group hug. These children really loved me and I loved them too. They didn't know what was going on and I wouldn't allow it.

"Bye aunt Mary."

"Come back soon sweetheart."

"Mhmm."

Soon as we got in the car, we were on our way to the jewellery store. We drove for an hour and a half. I wanted to take over so Trevor could take a rest but he wanted me to take a rest. I slept peacefully for thirty minutes. I filmed the view as well as Trevor and I jamming to music we knew the lyrics to.

It was the most funnest ride. We finally got to the store. We looked through some of the designs Ferry would like. A design that complimented the small diamond that was about to be put into the bigger diamond was the one we picked. The ring will take exactly seven days.

I decided to show Trevor some great places for the proposal. We visited hotels, beaches and a bunch of balconies but it wasn't it. We checked out some rooftops and we found the one. The hotel had a slideshow of the rooftop for both day time and night time. Night-time was it.

"We like it?"

"Very much."

I left Trevor to observe everything while I went to sort out the booking. Trevor was going to be in charge of all the meals for the event. He had to do a two days training with the staff before proposal take place.

My job was to be a spy and get everything on the camera. Some of the scenes were going to be surprising such as the kitchen and the proposal.

"Trevor, everything is sorted for next week. You'll have to come in for training twice this week."

He wanted to pay for everything but I told him I already paid and it wasn't up for a debate.

"Drop me to my car and we'll meet at home." I parked my car at the Browns. Nobody was at home because Mrs. Brown stayed over at Mr. Brown's place sometimes. Why didn't they just move in together? I don't know.

"Alright buckle up."

"Anytime Trevor, you're a great brother too. See you at home."
