Chapter forty
————————
||•family reunion •||

"They're coming in 3, 2, 1,.."

Everyone yelled surprise. Ferry was so happy to see all of our family together.

It was a good feeling. We put our problems and all the nonsense aside and focused on Ferry's day.

"You're the best little sister in the world, thank you...."

Her happiness meant the world to me. My best friend and my mother figure.

Trevor was happy to see his family in person after along time.

"I can't believe you flew out my parents, thank you Fenty." He gave me a big hug of course. I left them, to meet their daughter in law.

Everyone were reunited, even aunt Gladys' older children were here. Aunt Gladys continue to hate me because I wasn't her brother's daughter.

"Oh, it's you, the shameless child."

"Shut up Gladys and be grateful Fenty invited you here." Mrs brown stepped in front of her.

I wasn't going to let her ruin Ferry and Trevor's engagement party, she was family after all, I had to invite her, else she would've went and complained to my parents in their graves.

"You invited her?" Nick raised an eyebrow when her mother walked in.

"She's trying to make it right with us, let your pride go." Ms Jackson walked towards Nick and they looked at each other for a while. I clear my throat when neither of them spoke.

"Hi mum"

"Hey baby"

It was a long ride for my family and I. Many secrets that we discovered could've broken us apart but we sticked together as a family.

Nick did not speak to her mother in months and today was the first time they'd spoken since.

Mr Brown and Mrs Brown don't have to live together to prove anything. It didn't really matter as long as they found a way to be together and worked out their relationship. They were happy where they were at.

The all five of us will try our best to make amends with our uncle—daddy. It might not be soon but one day.

There were heart breaks, betrayals, lies, secrets but it was great to forget them for a day and just be a family.

I haven't seen the family together since the passing of our parents. Looking at that enjoying themselves with laughters, was amazing.

Cleo Martin was performing and Ferry called me over to dance where the four of them were.

"How did you get Cleo to come!"

"I was there when Trevor proposed, I was stalking you guys and, I asked Cleo to come and then I left."

She thanked me some more and grabbed my hand and we slow danced. Ferry had always been taller than me. I leaned on her shoulder while we dance.

"I'm so happy, Moochi and I love you for being a part of my happiness."

"Sisters?"

"Forever my love."

Trevor came and tapped my back to cut in. I handed him, his woman and they proceeded to dance.

"May I?"

"Yes, you many brother." Nick held his hand out to dance with me. We talked about him and Jared. He wanted to give her a go but apparently she was a goodie tissue.

"I really don't see the issue here bro. You're just making excuses and I don't know what you're afraid of but don't let that determine the way you feel about her."

Not to brag or anything but I give great advice. People should take my advice more.

"You're advice make people feel bad?"

"If you feel bad, it's working."

Cleo Martin said it was a great experience she had here and it was sad that she had to leave for another business trip, straight away.

I thanked her for coming and making my sister and Trevor's night wonderful. We all loved her, my own parents loved her. We took a lot of photos together. They were going on the wall soon.

I messaged Jared to come earlier and she was just showing up. "You really missed the show sis."

"That's alright. Where's.." I pointed her to Nick before she could say his name. Nick was so happy to see her and she was too. It was like they were falling in love with each other.

"Charlie, have you spoken to your dad?"

"What for, you know where we stand sis."

I wasn't going to be a hypocrite and tell him to make it right with his dad when I can't even make it right with him myself. It wasn't really the same I guess.

Thomas Magoro really hurt me by taking my trust and love for granted. I don't know how to forgive him.

"That girl over there keeps looking at you." That girl over there was so beautiful and Charlie was already gone to her.

I gave the camera to our neighbour's daughter to film while I join the party. She was doing a great job. I couldn't wait to sit the family down and show them one day.

***

It was time for everyone to leave. We stood outside the door, to shake people's hands as they leave. It was exhausted considering how many people came.

There was a driver waiting to take Mr and Mrs Moore to their hotel I'd arranged for them. I figured Ferry and Trevor would be at Trevor's apartment.

"We'll see you tomorrow afternoon Fenty and thank you for tonight."

"You're welcome and you can call me Moochi from now on Trevor."

"I think I'm going to cry, you're like the best gift that just keeps on giving." I hugged them both and they left.

We looked at the house and everyone said nah, that was another worry for another day. Nick and Charlie threw themselves on the couch and I went to the kitchen to drink some water.

I looked for Tee and I spotted him. "Princess, come here." He called me over to the stairs where he was sitting.

"What do you want garden boy?"

"I love you." He put his arm over my shoulders.

"And I love you."
