Chapter thirty-nine

"So boys, I've got y'all out of the house to tell you something."

If I didn't tell them the plan for today, they would certainly make plans with Ferry all three of them. And if I'd told them in the house, they would've yelled it out. I also needed them to be on board to help me with some things.

"Trevor is proposing to Fur tonight." I wondered where I got that straight forward-ness from. I really didn't beat around the bush. I didn't have enough time to waste. All three of them went off about how Trevor didn't ask for their permissions.

"That."

"What?"

"You all tend to overreact and makes things about y'all. Plus Trevor wanted to make this a surprise. And it's still gonna be a surprise because y'all will not mention it all day."

I called Trevor to let him know, the boys were on board. I was answering all sort of questions from the boys. They were asking how Trevor was like since I was the one that had been spending so much time with him. I was saved by a text message from the talk of the devil.

Trevor was letting me know they were on their way to the place. That meant, I had exactly ten minutes to get to the place, to film everything from the start.

I told the boys what was happening and that they had to catch the bus home. I gave all of them ten dollars each, since I was the one that dragged them out without their cars and wallets. They didn't like the idea at all but they had no choice and I had no time.

"Like public bus. Us? Catch a bus? But we haven't caught public transport since year eleven." Charlie stated the obvious.

"And now you all will, how great. Good luck, give your seats up for elders or anyone person who is in need of it more than you, don't be rude."

"Hey, come here." Tee ordered me while looking me up and down. I had chills. He grabbed my ass and kissed me. After the kids, I said, "wow okay, umm gotta go," Charlie and Nick already left for the bus stop.

I hired someone to decorate the house after Ferry and Trevor left the house. She was already in the house decorating it, for when Ferry accepted the ring. I was to try my best and distract them. The lady had five hours to get everything done and I told her the men in the house would help her.

Now that I thought about it, Charlie would probably want to bang the Planner. I prayed that the lord was on my side.

I got to the place earlier, there was no sign of Trevor and Ferry. I spoke too soon because they were approaching me and I had to quickly find a hiding place. I hid behind Toyo's desk the receptionist.

"May I help you."

"Yes, keep quiet." And surprisingly she did.

I used the stairs to get to the top. I was getting out of breath but all I know was, I had to get to the top before them. When I did, I sounded like I needed an inhaler because I couldn't breathe properly. I had to force it and it felt like fire was coming out of my throat.

I turned on my camera when they arrived and started filming. Ferry looked so beautiful in the dress we picked out for her. I almost cried looking at her because she was a resemblance of mum. Trevor took out the chair and pushed her in.

Trevor say in front of her and they made a small conversation and laughed. They were just perfect for each other. About five minute, Trevor asked to be excused and Ferry smiled.

The bar on the rooftop lights were turned on and it was so beautiful. Ferry face lighted up when Trevor came with their cocktails that he personally made. She was surprised and asked if it was a self serve bar but Trevor played it off.

"May I," Trevor asked for Ferry's hand. He took her to the mini kitchen where he was going to be preparing whatever Ferry picked on the menu.

Trevor started making her meal and she was shook. "You work here?" She asked.

I was laughing in my stomach because that was one dumb question I would've asked too. When Trevor said no, she was so confused but continued to be in love with him. The way she was staring at him, I knew it was it, it was meant to be. Trevor was her soulmate.

"Babe, I'm having so much fun, this is too much. I love you."

"I love you too."

I just wanted to tell them to shut up and hurry up, to where the ring comes in. The king was cooking for his queen, how romantic.

After they were done in the mini kitchen, the staff showed up with flowers and desserts. Ferry was a sucker for flowers especially roses. She took one and started smelling in. Roses don't even have a scent but let my sister go off.

I looked to my right and Ferry's all time favourite singer was here. I didn't know about it. I was just as surprised as Ferry. Tears we're running down my face and Ferry's too. The lady singer name is Cleo Martin, she is a legend. She is a soul black queen musician.

"Baby this is real? I don't know what to say." She went and touched Mrs Cleo's hand.

Trevor got on his knee and started his speech.

"Ferry Magoro, I fell in love with you the first time I met you on campus. You were a new student struggling to find your class and God sent me to help you. You've saved me more than I can count. I just knew you were the one. I love the way you wake me up with kisses. I love the way you make me breakfast in bed. I love the way you reassure me, that things would be okay.."

He continued to list all the reasons why he loved her and why he fell in love with her. I called one of the staff with my finger and told them to get my sister a damn tissue. She was crying a river.

"My love, I don't know what I would do without you, will you make me the happiest man for the rest of my life?"

"Y-yes, I love you so much."

The planner just messaged me and told me everything were ready and our family, friends, long lost family and Trevor's family were there. I had a surprise Trevor didn't know about too.

"Hi Mrs Cleo, big fan of yours. I'm the sister to the engaged couples, would you like to stop by my house, there's another surprise for the both of them."

She told me it would be a pleasure and I gave her the address. I quickly tip toed my way to the elevator without them seeing me. They would head home to share the news in about thirty minutes.

I made my way home to go and make friends with my aunty Gladys that don't like me and the rest of the long lost relatives, before Ferry and Trevor joined us.
