Chapter twenty-eight
————————————
||•Nicklaus (Nick) Jackson•||Everyone was shook of who she was. She was from a well known background. We caught up Mrs Brown who couldn't make it to the insanity. "I can't believe you pulled out all that information out of nowhere. And they were true. I'm proud of you my daughter." There was a knock on the door before I could thank Mrs Brown. I just smiled at her. "I'll get the door."
I saw Nick with his luggages waiting to be let in. By the look of it, he seemed like a person moving out and he had some more stuff in the car. "Yo Wassup."
"I don't wanna live with my mum anymore. I just hope you've forgiven me for pushing you at the will's reading. I have nowhere to go right now."
"Let me help you carry the bags in." I help him carry his things inside.
"This dude has rocks in his bags or what? Damn."
Turned out I was thinking out loud. "You're thinking out loud silly. And stop being weak." Tee mocked me. I rolled my eyes instead because I didn't want to talk to him.
"Hello darling," Mrs Brown got up to give him a kiss.
"What's good homie," Tee didn't even help me carry the bags inside.
The hugs and kisses continued while I put his stuff in the guest room. He made himself comfortable like Mrs Brown said. Ferry served him a glass of orange juice.
"Princess we need to talk"
"Right now?" He gave me a look of 'did I stutter.' I know we had some things to sort out but I didn't think now was the time. I followed after him to my room.
Mrs Brown, Ferry and Nick passed each other looks. I wanted to tell them off but as always, I don't have the energy.
"What is it you want to talk to me about?" I didn't waste no time. I had to be downstairs with Nick.
"Us. What's going in with us. We used to be able to talk about anything and everything."
We could not talk about anything and everything anymore because my plate has been full. He wanted to be oblivious to things and I decided to give him time till he can be aware again.
"Listen, you know damn well what I'm going through. We basically live together. And yes it might seem like we drifting, but I'm not sure we can go back to how things used to be. It's just too complicated right now."
Everything was so bundled up and talking to Tee was harsher than I expect. I was not listening to anything he had said.
"I'm in love with you. The shit that hurt the most is, you know this. You know I feel some type of way. And don't you f*cking dare say, 'I didn't know you feel that way' because you fucking do. Then you had the audacity to bring the same person you slept with to our cabin to hang out, where I was? That was disrespectful on so many levels. "
The cat must've caught his tongue because he didn't say a word but sat on the couch looking down at his feet. I'm tired of his flirtation. I'm tired of being scared. I'm tired of being tired.
"I'm done with you leading me on." I calmly said while walking towards the door. If he didn't want to say anything, I didn't want to be talking to the walls in my room.
"Run like you always do. All you do is run from your problems. At some point we gotta sort this." He stood up now.
"If it means I don't have to see your face and breathe the same air, then be it." I opened the door, only to see Ferry and Nick eavesdropping. I wanted to ask them why they felt the need to invade our privacy but I walked passed them instead.
"Darling where are you going." Mrs Brown asked sitting on the couch watching tv.
"I don't know."

I entered my car, not knowing where I was going to. I drove for a good one hour and found myself at the shopping centre. I went into every favourite stores of mine. Trying on clothes make me calm and happy. I picked a few hoodies, jackets and jeans to make outfits.
I bought most of the outfits I put together. I can never go to the shops and not go to Kmart. I made sure I had a trolley because I know I will be buying a lot of random things.
I began with the bedding decorations, I was dearly in love with soft and furry things. I felt like introducing a new colour to my room. I selected a light blue robe and a heat pack. Onto to the others I went.
"Can I please get a mango magic and a strawberry squeeze. Both original thank you." I stopped by boost. The girl behind the counter looked around, assuming to maybe see an extra person I was buying the second boost for. "They're both mine."
I looked at the time, it had been three hours since I've been gone from home. My mind was finally cleared. I pulled up at the drive way. I got a hand full of my things. Nick saw me and helped me carry them inside.
There was tension between Tee and I. I didn't know why he was still here. I shouldn't have to kick him out for him to get the clue. "One more game Tee?" Ferry asked him.
"He's leaving. Why are you still here? Shit, can't I just catch a break from your oblivious *ss."
Mrs Brown was shook at the language I was using. She didn't say anything but sip her coffee. She laid back on the couch and minded her own business.
