Chapter twenty-seven
———————————
||• the untold truth•||The squad had decided to spend the weekend at the family cabin. Everyone made it including Sammy except Nick. We've all been trying to reach Nick but nobody could get through to him. I haven't seen him since the will reading. My plate been so full lately I forgot to check up on my mate.
"Are you still trying to get in touch with your brother?" Asked Sammy. I forgot to fill her in regarding Nick not being my biological brother but I guess he was my brother after all. I hope he was not punishing himself because the Nick I know always blame himself even when it wasn't his fault.
Every time I look at Sam, I just want to smash her head against the wall. I instantly got annoyed whenever she opened her mouth to speak or even breathed near me for that matter. I didn't understand her purpose for being here after I personally told her how I feel about him the last time I went to her house.
Another issue for another time.
"Mhm, I've been trying to reach him since."
She walked back in side and told me to keep trying. "Moochi can you make me something to eat?" Charlie ordered. He must've gotten me confused with Fenty that works at PappaRich or something.
"I know damn well you ain't talking to me." I went back to worrying about Nick. I over heard him report me to Ferry as if she would do something about it.
Going to Nick's house crossed my mind after our return but dealing with his mum was not in my bucket list—not anytime soon. She was very furious at the will reading.
"Isn't weird? Nick that we've know for years is actually our brother," Ferry came around me.
Before I could of answered her, Nick called me back. "Nick, I've been calling and texting you mate. I just wanna see how you were doing"- He didn't let me finish.
"My mum's filing a lawsuit against y'all."
"On what ground?" This woman was getting on my last nerve and my family's.
"Apparently your father blackmailed her."
I think I know some truth to the story. I know for a fact this will backfire on her. I asked Nick to talk to his mum. It was best we meet on our own before we involve the lawyers.
"I think we should call uncle Tee and Aunty, even thought we're not in speaking terms."
I agreed with Ferry because this adult needed to be handled by an adult. We had Charlie call them and we rushed home to get to the bottom of this.
"This woman is going to make our lives a living hell. We gotta put her to the ground. We gotta do what we gotta do."
"Oh my goodness Fur, we're not murdering the woman."
"Shut up, it's a metaphor."
She set up a meeting at a small restaurant around the corner from the family office. Thomas and his wife were tailing us. We didn't have time to go home and drop our things. Soon as we got to the place, my aunty wanted to fight her. "You're a horrible human. Can't you give this family a rest?"
