Narrator POV

In the same small island near Poni, a large down pour had hit the small piece of land, with the same group of three huddled in a small cave that Lillie spotted to escape the cascading rain. It didn't help either that night had just fallen. The moon rising further further up, only to be overshadowed by the dark grey clouds and rain.

"Looks like we'll be stuck here for the night," Gladion peeked through the cave with a stoic, yet frightened, mien on his face. He went on.

"Someone should keep watch for any more wild Pokémon. I'll-"

Luma stepped forward and raised her hand up high as if she were in a classroom, interrupting the person speaking.

"I'll keep watch, you guys sit back and relax, 'Kay?"

While Lillie nodded in agreement, looking unsure, Gladion went towards the girl and pulled her away so that only him and Luma would be the only two to hear their conversation, and a series of loud whispers had filled the air.

"What do you think you're doing? Didn't you listen to me back in the main island? I haven't seen Lillie in two years!"

"And that's why I'm keeping watch, so you two don't avoid each other! I saw how you guys were using me as a wall."

"Still, she maybe angry with me-"

"Just get it over with! Talk to her. Tell her what you know, and not just with escaping." She lightly elbowed his side and walked at the entrance of the cave, sitting on a nearby rock which was nearby the entrance, but still far enough to keep her from the rain. She turned her head to Gladion who was looking back at Lillie, whom was keeping her backpack, which contained the newly formed Cosmog, close to her chest.

"Go on," Luma loudly whispered to him, which caused him to wince in his own nerves.

Gladion's POV

I feel like I can't move. Lillie's just in front of me. Was it because I was frozen in my own nerves? What was she going to say? I turned to see Luma, who was facing the dwindling rain with a Pokeball in her hand. I looked back at Lillie, took a deep breath in, and let it out, and walked towards Lillie, taking a seat right next to her.

"... Hey," I greeted her with a bit of uncertainty. She looked to me and greeted me back with a small wave and a grin just as small, and went back to facing her backpack.

"It's been a while... hasn't it?"

"Yeah... two years..." she responded with a seemingly apathetic tone.

What else could I say?

"Looking at the rain like this... really reminds me of this time when I was little."

I turned and listened to her story. It was this one time she saw a movie with our mother, of these people singing in the rain. It looked so fun to her, that she had to try it. But mother ran into the rain after Lillie, without getting an umbrella, or so she put it. But instead of getting lectured and told that she was ugly and foolish for doing such a thing, she danced with her in the rain, and the next day they got a cold and spent a lot of time together. That's what she said... word for word.
