28. The Uneasy Beauty of Ultra Space (Vs. Mother Beast Lusamine Part 1)

Narrator POV

Beyond our world can hold either mysterious horrors... or wondrous beauties... as for the place that Lillie and Luma dubbed "Ultra Space," it was a mix of both. Leaving the two of them breathless from fear and awe of the unique structure and flow the "new" world had towards them.

"The air is so thick here... it... it almost hurts to breath..." Lillie remarked.

"Yeah... you're right... I feel like a Snorlax is resting on my lungs..."

Lillie looked toward Luna with a bit of uneasiness to her character.

"Do you think the Ultra Beasts really are Pokémon?"

"I dunno... They seem more like horrors to me..."

The two walk on ahead, only to be halted by the coo of Lunala.

"Mahina- a- a- pe- a- a- a!!"

"What's that, bud?"

"You have to stay here? Is that what you're telling us?" Lillie questioned. Lunala giving her a nod to confirm her suspicions.

"Thank you for brining me here, Nebby. Im so grateful!" She smiled, and went on ahead.

"Hey! Wait up! Lillie! Ohh... I'll keep an eye on her! Waaaait! We shouldn't split!" Luma followed suit, shortly after giving her thanks, and walked along side her friend.

"Anything to say, Rotom? Rotom?"

Luma looked at her Pokedex, but nothing occurred. It's eyes lidded shut, giving her more of an uneasy feeling.

"Well... signal's dead..." she shrugged at Lillie whom was still baffled at the uneasy wonders of the world around them. Only to see a familiar spot... well... person. That being Guzma who was sitting atop of an unfamiliar structure.

"I'm the Team Skull boss, and I've never been scared of nothing or nobody. Heck, I live my life making people scared of ME!"

"Well look who it is..." Luma looked up at the older male, who had a stressed look on his face. Was he distressed? None of the two knew.

"Shaddup and listen to what big bad Guzma has to say... y'all are stupid!"

The two of them stood and watched as he jumped down from the structure and near their presence.

"By the way, how'd you even get to this place? I've got no idea how you did it, but here you are... but I gotta warn ya, it's all dark here,.. I've got no clue what's happening, but there's beasts everywhere... and when I tried to catch one of those things..."

All that Guzma could do was shake his head side to side and turned away from the minors with fright in his eyes.

"Mr. Guzma?" Lillie questioned and tried approaching him, only for him to turn back with wide eyes and a mindless chuckle.

"It possessed me! And my body. My mind... they started running wild, and I couldn't do anything about it! It was like I became somebody else, and I finally felt what fear feels like!"

Guzma then turned his back towards the two once more and held a stern look of shame. It was obvious that something about this place changed him. That if someone like Guzma had appeared to this place with a haughty attitude, and then be seen moments later in disdain.
