34. The End and the Beginning (Volume 1 Finale)

Narrator POV

And so, Luma's Island Challenge had come to an end. The next day, her mother and her decided to look out at the night sky, from tomorrow's point of view.

"Now, I wonder what will happen today..."

"Beats me. I honestly have no idea," Luma responded to her mother with the utmost optimism. Her smile as wide as ever.

Until the doorbell chimed.

"Was that the doorbell?"

"Let me get it," Luma said, and made haste toward the door. Only for Hau to come bursting from outside in a frenzy.

"Hau?! We seriously need to lock that door, don't we?"

"Mrowr?" Meowth chimed.

"Forget about the door, Luma!!! This is a disaster! A total disaster!"

"What? Malasada shop is out of Malasada?"

"Luma-"

"A tsunami's coming this way?"

"Luma..."

"There's an angry mob?"

"Luma!"

"A giant angry mob ate all the malasada and destroyed the malasada shop like a tsunami?!"

"LUMA!"

"Sorry," she apologized. But giggled under her breath.

"Then what's going on?" She continued and asked the boy.

"What's wrong, Hau?" Luma's mother came in beside her Meowth also wondering what was going on.

"Oh! Auntie! Evening! Sorry!"

"Oh, Hau. You know you can call me-"

"Anywho! I need Luma to come with me right now! I'll explain later! If we don't hurry, the ship is gonna leave!"

Luma stepped ahead and put on her low heeled sandals and strapped on her bag.

"Lead the way! We'll take Tauros! I'll see you later mom!"

The two ran out and brought out their ride Pokémon. Making their way to the Marina, and leaving Luma's mother and Meowth on their own. To reminisce.

"I hope you're watching, Branwen. Your daughter truly is an amazing girl..."

"Mrowr!"

At Hau'Oli City

"What is going on?!" Luma shouted.

"It's Lillie! She's-"

"She's leaving for Kanto!"

Gladion was seen riding onto a Tauros of his own along side Luma and Hau.

"Kanto?! But why?!"

"You can ask her that yourself!"

The three looked on ahead and saw that Lillie was with Kukui, along side some suitcases.

"LILLIE!" Hau shouted.

"Lillie?" Luma whispered under her breath.
