Several hours ago, back in Aether House

Narrator POV

"You people..." Lillie said, after instructing the kids to hide after Plumeria and two grunts along side her barged into the vicinity. It was a back and forth with the two.

"Not gonna disappear this time, huh? Seems like maybe the tall tales we heard about you were wrong."

"That was different... Nebby and I were both in trouble... that was the only reason why it used its power. So we both could escape with our lives... S-So, i know that I'm not capable of much myself, but I will not make it use that power again! I'm determined to not let that happen! That's why... this time I'll do whatever I can... on my own... even if I do find myself in trouble again!"

"There's nothing more for us to take from you... except maybe him..."

One of the grunts was carrying Hau, who was unconscious, and dropped him on the floor like he was a sag of berries. The boy grunted as he felt
the hard floor.

"H-Hau!" Lillie shouted as she ran and kneeled to the boy. No serious damage was done, but he was hit in the head with something blunt.

"Maybe we're not the only ones around here who could be called Pokémon thieves... is that who you are, huh? A thief?" Plumeria said, in a provoked tone.

Lillie whimpered and stood in front of the unconscious Hau.

"Please... there's no need to hurt anyone else here! I will go with you willingly! Whatever you want! Just please, don't hurt anyone else here!" She shouted, and was grabbed by the wrist by one of the grunts, and the four were off. Hau tried to get up and wake up from his short concussion, but fell back to the ground, before uttering Lillie's name as his consciousness faded to back.

-Back in the present-

"No... no that can't be...." Luma said, falling to her knees in a steady motion.

"That Plumeria lady came back as soon as Big Sis Acerola left," the little boy uttered.

"Oh no... so that's why you wanted to get back to Aether House so soon. Because you knew that they might come back!" Acerola exclaimed, realizing why she was left to take care of Lillie when Hau left.

Luma shook her head and stood up from where she knelt.

"... I should've seen this coming... I should've known that Lillie would've been at risk if we left her alone along with Cosmog..." Luma whispered in a blood curdling rage and cursed to herself so that the kids couldn't hear her.

"I'm suppose to be a trainer! But when it came to it, Lillie had to protect me... Lillie, who's not even a trainer to begin with!" Hau shouted in shame, with a frown on his face.

"Miss Luma... Mister Hau..." the little girl whimpered as the door flung open revealing Gladion, who seemed to be in just as a panic as everyone else was.

"Did I hear right? It was Lillie who took Cosmog?!"

"G-Gladion..."

"Geh?! You now who Lillie is?!" Hau shouted in confusion.

Gladion turned away from the two trainers and placed his hand on his forehead and gritted his teeth.

"...you are all so useless and weak. that now Cosmog is... Lillie is..." he gritted his teeth.

Luma stood in silence, but jumping in fear as Gladion faced her, gritting his teeth in anger and pulling out a Pokeball.
