Gladion's POV

Poni Island... as soon as I drop these two off, then I'll go back and clean Aether's mess and leave Lillie be. The three of us got off the boat and walked onto the boardwalk.

"Poni Island... almost no one lives on it, but you'll find a whole lot of nature to explore here..."

I turned towards them, trying to avoid eye contact away from the two. Lillie obviously since I can't look her in the eye for abandoning her, and I can't allow Luma to look at me in the eye since I know she can easily read my emotions like a book. Hell, she may just already know something's up. I walked past them and went towards the boat.

"Go. Find the Kahuna. The Kahuna of Poni Island also protects the shrine where Alola's people worship the Legendary Pokémon... maybe they will know something that might help you...
now go..."

I heard a set of footsteps walk on ahead and stop after a couple of steps.

Luma's POV

"Lillie?"

"I'm okay, Luma. You don't have to worry. I know what I have to do now... and it may sound strange, but I'm kind of excited!"

"Umm... okay."

There's obviously something up with those two...

"Luma, you seem to act kind of strange. What's up?"

"Huh? Uhh... well what about you?"

"Hmm? What do you mean?"

Well I mean, you didn't really pay much mind to Gladion when he left. I mean, he's your brother... right?

"Well, anyways! Let's go on ahead!"

"Lillie! Uhh..."

I walked behind her as she headed off to take a look at a coupe and their Pokémon.

"Nice to see a new face around here!"

Eh? A voice?

We looked behind to see a veteran Pokémon trainer along with his Pelipper. We were shocked to see him on top of a building!

"Oh my goodness!" We shouted in unison as he descended from the building.

"I-I'm sorry. Who are you?"

"Me? I'm the chief of the sea folk. It's my job to keep everybody together!"

"The... seafolk?"

He nodded in response and looked around at all the boats, spreading his arms wide.

"We seafolk have spent years navigating the seas and searching out new wonders! When we find rare things, we bring 'em here to Alola to trade."

The man told us more about the culture and economics about Poni Island. They seem to be a sort of port town with a dependency on various imports from other regions. It's all so interesting here, even if they're so small. But when we asked him about the Kahuna, he told us to head over to Hapu's place.

Gladion's POV

This is for the best. I'm sure they'll get around just fine... albeit it'll be kind of lonely not having Luma around. But at the very least, she'll keep Lillie safe. I heard a ringing occur from my cellphone and saw the recipient to be Wicke.
