Chapter Nine- His Reputation

-Your POV-
I woke up the next day to get ready for school.
I remembered my conversation with Jungkook and instantly regretted it.
It's not like I hate him or anything but I knew that today at school, we'd have to awkwardly pretend like we don't know each other and Jungkook would want to forget about last night.

It's pretty much like that all the time.
If someone is even slightly closer with me, they regret it shortly after and the next day, ignore me.

I decided I'd just make Jungkook's life easier and just not talk to him.

I arrived at school, and got surprised by how there was already half the class already there.
"What the fuck..?" I said to Sam as I walked to my desk.
"Ugh, they're here for Jungkook.." he replied.
"Huh?" I asked.
"They all know that he comes early and now half the class are coming early for him," he replied.

As soon as he finished saying that, the school started squealing.
I knew exactly what that meant- Jungkook had arrived at school.
I looked down and got out my school work to not have to look at him.

He walked into the classroom and I looked up.
He made eye contact with me and smiled. I was confused.
Jungkook was about to walk up to me when Amanda got to him, linking arms.
He was still looking at me when Amanda dragged him away.

I looked down.
"No Y/N.. He was probably going to  ask for a favour or he wasn't looking at you.. There's no way he was fine.."  I told myself.

-Jungkook's POV-
Last night at the study room, I finally found the courage to talk to Y/N.
Unlike what she seemed, she was super nice and fun to talk to.

Even though I talked to her, I still felt like I knew nothing about her.
I still wanted to know more.
It felt like she was hiding something about herself- like a treasure or something special that I wanted to have.

As soon as I entered the school, students started crowding me.
I found this strange as last time, at this time, the school was pretty much empty.
Thanks to a new rule the school enforced, students are only allowed at their classroom and the hallways were only allowed to be used to actually go to their classroom or get out.

Without thinking much, I walked into the classroom, meeting eyes with Y/N which made me smile.
But soon I felt an arm linking mine and saw Amanda's face.
I looked around, realising the class was nearly all there.
I looked at Y/N, wanting to talk to her.

She had a frown on her face and I instantly knew that it was my fault.
I think I ruined her mornings.

-Your POV-
The first class went by pretty quickly and it was morning tea.
Usually, I would only go to the tree at lunch time but today, I was too fed up of my class going crazy over Jungkook.
I must admit, he was really nice but all these girls and boys were going CRAZY over him being famous not his personality.

I mean sure, his personality is really nice but people had to give him a break.

Anyway, I walked to the tree and was just about to sit down when I heard running from behind me.
I turned around and realised it was Jungkook.

"Oh lord.. This school.." he panted.
I looked at him, confused.
He looked up and smiled, catching his breath.
I still stood there, not knowing what he wanted.
"What?" he said, breaking the silence.
"Oh.. umm, right. I'm going now," I said trying to escape from this awkward situation.
"What? Why are you going?" he asked before following me.

"Oh no Jungkook! Be smart- if you walked into the classroom with me people will think we're friends! You don't want that," I thought panicking.

"Um actually.. I'm going to the toilet!" I said, trying to get him to go away.
"Oh.." he replied quietly.
"You should go to class," I said before quickly walking off in the direction of the toilets.

I didn't hate Jungkook. I was just saving his reputation.
