"You're not.. drunk again are you?" I asked not knowing what to do.
"Can you help me?" he said crying, "Can I go to your house?"

-Your POV-
I froze.
"What?" I answered.
"I have nowhere to go.. Can you help me please?" he cried.

I got out of the hug and held onto his shoulders.
"Are you okay?" I asked, genuinely worried.
Jungkook didn't reply.
I sat there in silence thinking of what I should do.
Then I looked at the clock and saw it was 10.

"Do you want to go home right now?" I asked, trying to cheer him up.
"Is that.. is that okay?" Jungkook asked looking at my eyes.
"Yeah, of course!" I answered cheerfully.

This felt weird.
Usually Jungkook was the one who was the conversation starter.
He was the cheerful one.
But because he was so sad and took the role of the quiet one, I felt like I had to be cheerful in some way.

I smiled at him hoping that whatever was bothering him was slowly going away.
I packed up my books and put them in my bag.

"I haven't been home this early in a while," I said, hoping to start a conversation.
Jungkook just nodded quietly and looked at the ground.

We rode a taxi together to my house and I led him inside my house.
"Here, this is my room," I said, leading him to my bedroom, "It's probably really small compared to yours haha."

Jungkook was still quiet as he stood at the door of my room.
"You probably need new clothes to get dressed into! I'll give you my dad's," I said, getting up, "Oh! You can wash up too. I washed last night before sleeping so I'm fine."

I rushed to my parents' room and got my dad's pyjamas and a big towel.
I handed them to Jungkook and smiled.
"Thanks," he responded.
I showed him where the shower was and went to my room again.

I got changed into my pyjamas, went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face and lied down on top of my bed.
"It's so awkward because he isn't talking.. I wonder if this is how he felt," I thought as I rolled around on the bed.

"Are you having fun?" a voice said from behind and I smiled as I realised Jungkook's happy self was slowly coming back.
He came in with wet hair and a towel around his neck.

He sat down at my desk and turned the chair so he was facing me.
"It's only 10:40.. I don't sleep this early," Jungkook said, drying his hair with the towel.
"Yeah same," I replied.

I sat myself up and leaned against the bed head.
"I'm kind of hungry.. Do you want instant noodles!?" I asked excitedly.
Jungkook laughed, "Yeah sure!"
"Great! You're cooking it!" I said lying back down comfortably.
"What!?" Jungkook exclaimed confused.

"I'm giving you my bed so you have to cook the instant noodles of course!" I replied laughing.
"Y/N.. I don't know your kitchen! I don't even know where your kitchen is!" Jungkook said as if he was being treated unfairly.
I got up.
"Ugh fine!" I said, walking to the kitchen with Jungkook following me.

I showed off my great instant noodle cooking skills- if those are even skills to be proud of and put the pot of noodles on the table with some bowls.
"You're welcome," I said smiling.

We were eating and there was a silence when Jungkook suddenly spoke up.
"Y/N.. Are we just going to pretend nothing happened before?" he asked.
I gulped- I knew what this was about.
This conversation he was starting was about me avoiding Jungkook without a proper explanation for the recent weeks.

"Huh?" I replied, pretending to be clueless.
"Y/N.. I never want to make you uncomfortable and force you to tell me things you don't want to but.. I need to know," he said.
I stayed quiet.

"You've been avoiding me for the past few weeks or so and you've told me to go away. I tried to think of all the reasons- why you suddenly pushed me away, but I couldn't. So are we just going to pretend that was nothing? I mean maybe it was to you.. but it was everything to me," Jungkook said, looking into my eyes.

I felt surprised.
All this avoiding and I thought I was the only one getting hurt.
I thought the only person getting affected by this was me and that Jungkook probably didn't care but here he was telling me it meant everything to him..

I shook my head.
"Jungkook. I can tell you one thing and that's that it was never about avoiding you. You never caused anything nor did I hate you. Would that be enough?" I asked.
Jungkook let out a sigh and nodded.

By now both of us had finished eating and we were sitting there quietly.
"Um- you can go brush your teeth. I'll be cleaning up," I said, getting rid of the awkward situation.
"I'll help," he said trying to lift the pot.
"No, it's fine. Go," I said shooing him to the bathroom.

Soon after, I went to brush my teeth and get ready to sleep.
