Chapter Thirty Two- Trust

-Your POV-
"How did you know that!" I said, tears streaming down my face.
"I already told you- Sam told me everything.." Jungkook said quietly.
"Sam? That's not possible.." I answered.

Sam couldn't have know all this.
Everyone apart from my family knew the story differently.
They all thought that I had faked it all.

"Y/N.. You don't deserve any of the things happening in your life," Jungkook said.
I looked into his eyes, searching for a hint of a lie.
But no- he was being genuine.

"You trust me?" I asked, surprised.
Jungkook nodded, "I trust you."

Those three words that no one ever said to me when my story was told was something I missed more than ever.

Jungkook pulled me over and wrapped me in a hug that felt protective and supportive at the same time.
His warmth brought me comfort as I carefully laid my head on his chest.

"Don't leave," he said as I closed my eyes, "It's so unfair for you if you just leave like this."
"I-"
"I'm going to be by your side no matter what you say so just rest on me like you are doing now."

His voice and the moment carried away as I nodded.
With his arms still around me, Jungkook pulled his head back to look at my face.

"I haven't seen the octopus in a while.. Let me see your face.."
"Ugh fuck you!" I laughed pushing away.

Then his smile disappeared as he looked at me again.
I cleared my throat, "How did you know I was going to leave?"
Jungkook looked at the floor.

"I'm sorry," he said.
"What why?" I replied.
"I heard my CEO asked you to go.. I overheard everything.."
"Oh.." I answered quietly.

Jungkook smiled.
"You know.. that day when I slept over at your house?" Jungkook started.
I looked at him with a questioning look.
"Why did you let me?" he asked.
"What do you mean?" I asked back.
"After what happened in your life... why did you let me in with that risk?"

I laughed but looked at the floor, my cheeks flushing red.
"Because.. I don't know.. I trust you too.." I answered.
Jungkook smiled.
"And anyway- I'm an octopus remember?" I laughed.

Suddenly, Jungkook's phone lit up with a call.
Jungkook sighed and looked towards me with an apologetic look.
"I.. I might have to go.." he said.
"Oh.." I replied.
"Is that.. okay?"
I smiled reassuringly, "Yeah! I'll see you tomorrow!"

Jungkook waved and walked away.

"Uhh Y/N..?" I heard a voice say as the door opened.
I turned to see her- Mina.

-Jungkook's POV-
The park- Sam had called me when I was with Y/N to meet him up at the park nearby.

Something seemed off to me when Sam told me the story that day.
I didn't understand how he knew everything yet nothing had happened that support Y/N.
So before I met Y/N, I called him to meet me.

"Sam?" I called when I saw a familiar figure in the distance.
"Yeah.. I'm over here," he replied at a bench nearby.

I walked over and sat down next to him.
"This about Y/N?" he asked.
"Yeah..."
