-Your POV-
"Okay, what should we talk about?" Jungkook said excitedly to me.
"I don't know.. How about today's maths homework?" I said sarcastically hoping he'd stop talking to me and let me do the homework.

"Y/N... We're meant to be talking! I want to be friends with you," he said purposely being cheesy.
"Bleh! Okay okay, talk then," I replied.
"Well.. can you stop doing the homework then?" he said closing the book you were reading.

I sighed, giving up.
"Fine!" I said slouching.
Jungkook suddenly came close to me and spun my chair so I was facing him.
"In case you didn't know, this is how you talk to people- by actually facing them," he said smiling.

I looked at my feet awkwardly trying to say something.
"Okay let's start with a conversation starter.." he said smirking, "who's your favourite bts member?"

With that one sentence, we ended up having a huge conversation on BTS and I, without realising had laughed, smiled and interacted with someone comfortably.

"No Jungkook! Spring Day is a much better song than Not Today! You can't argue with me on that."
"Y/N.. You do realise I AM THE DAMN SINGER OF THAT SONG! And I say that Not Today is much more fun and a better song!" Jungkook replied with a proud face as if he knew it all.
"No way! That's just your opinion!" I replied, not believing a single thing he was saying.
"Well the billboard charts and YouTube views prove me right so.." he replied, bragging in a way.
I just gave up- Jungkook wasn't going to change his opinion or even allow you to be right.

"Okay, okay new question! Who do you think is the cutest?" he asked, laughing.
"Obviously the adorable V! Why would you even ask that?" I replied, undoubtably.
"What? No! Obviously me," he said winking.
"Ew no. Just stop," I said looking away, putting a hand to his face as if I was blocking him out.
He laughed.

I was so into the conversation and the feeling of not being lonely that I didn't even realise that it became a little past 12.
"Oh, I should go now," I said, honestly a little disappointed.
"What? It's already 12?" he said looking surprised.
"How'd you know it was 12?" I said, surprised.
"Y/N.. I actually care about the people I'm around and take close attention unlike you. You always go at 12- it'll be weird if I didn't know!" he replied, shaking his head, pretending to be disappointed.

Even though Jungkook probably said those words lightheartedly, the words of him caring and taking close attention made me feel less alone and sad about my brother.
Thanks to him, a night that's usually spent thinking of my brother, grieving and being lonely turned into a fun, enjoyable night filled with laughter.

"Y/N, if you want, I could walk you to your house.. Or ask my manager to drop you off," Jungkook said concerned for my safety.
"Oh no- it's fine. I like to ride the bus and listen to music on the way home," I replied, thankful for his offer.
"BTS music?" he said smirking.

I choked, not knowing what to reply.
"Just kidding!" Jungkook laughed, "I'll see you around school then! Bye!"
"Okay, bye!" I replied, walking to the bus stop.

Although Jungkook was wrong about a lot of things, one thing was right- I was in fact going to listen to bts on the way home.
