Chapter Thirty Four- Jerk

-Jungkook's POV-
I waited patiently as Sam put his thoughts together.
"My dad is the principal of our school.. Did you know?" Sam asked.

"Oh.. No I didn't," I replied.
"Well.. when the incident happened.. it really was a huge deal.. obviously," Sam continued.
"Alright I'll say this short. My dad got paid."
"What?" I replied, shocked.

"The company where Min was from said that this would ruin his career and.. paid my dad. He somehow ended it by making Min not guilty.. I knew everything that happened. Min came clean to my dad and I saw all the files but my dad lied.. for money."
"I-"
"Y/N's dad used to work with our school. He was a business man. So the company made the company Y/N's dad worked for fire him."

I stood there in shock.
"Are you serious?" I asked quietly.
Sam nodded slightly looking down in shame.

"Why didn't you try and stop it?" I asked quietly trying to calm my anger.
"Because.. because I was scared," he replied.
"Why didn't you help Y/N?" I asked again.
"Jungkook, I didn't have the courage. But I did try and act as nice as possible to help her life be less miserable. Trust me, I did as much as I could in my comfort zone.."

"I knew it. That's why you were the only one being nice. Seriously man, you're a son of a bitch. Do you know how much Y/N suffered!?" I bursted.

"Jungkook I-"
"If you helped.. If you spoke up none of the things happening in her life would be happening. She'd be living a normal, happy life you asshole!"
"I- I know and.."

"I have no time. I'm leaving. Bye."
I walked away.
I couldn't believe anyone anymore.

-Narrator's POV-
Jungkook had called his manager and was in the car on the way home.
Y/N was also on her way home in the bus.

"Y/N.." Jungkook said when Y/N finally got out of her train of thoughts and picked up her ringing phone on the bus.
"Hey," she replied.

"Do you want to take this law?" Jungkook asked all of a sudden leaving Y/N confused.
"Take what?" she replied.
"Your incident. Let's take it to law. We have all the evidence and-"
"No.. Jungkook thanks for caring but I don't want to do that."

"What why!?" Jungkook asked surprised with Y/N's answer.
"Because.. I feel like this incident is taking too much of my life," she replied, "I don't want to cause anything else because of this incident."
"I understand where you're coming from but everyone at school still thinks of you as a bitch!"

"I know.." she replied.
"Don't you feel like you've been treated unfairly? Don't you at least want the people at school to know the truth?" Jungkook asked.
"Maybe.. but I'm more than sure in the end they'll find out. I'm pretty popular- news about me spreads pretty quickly!" Y/N joked laughing even though what she was referring to had brought many tears into her life.

"I'm going to search on Google if octopuses have brains cause you're being stupid. But if that's what you want- I'll respect your stupid wish."

Y/N laughed, "You're a jerk."
