Throughout the day, Jurian and I ignored each other. Well, I ignored him... Okay fine, I avoided him. It was a childish, immature move. But, what can I say. The last bell rang and I got up and left. Crowded people were in the hallway as I tried to make way to my locker. I pushed through the crowd my hand brushed off of someone else's hand and I felt a shock.

I turned my head around and saw the blue eyes of Jurian. He opened his mouth to say something but I left in a hurry through the crowd.

"Hey, little monster." Kyran draped his arm around me.

"New nickname, huh?" I snicker.

"It has a good meaning to it. You won't know." Kyran smiled.

I made it to my locker and opened it, putting my stuff away.

"You going home? Or participating in clubs?" Kyran asks, looking over my shoulder. I slammed my locker and gave Kyran a glare.

"I don't participate in clubs." I turn to walk and he follow me.

"You know you should smile more." Kyran jammed his hands in his pockets.

I slowed down when he said those words. Fricking Jurian. Why did he come to my mind? I picked up my speed again.

"And why sho-"

"You should also let down your hair. You barely even have it down. Why is that?" He's so inquisitive.

I rolled my eyes. "Are you the boss of me or something?" I asked.

"Nope. A friend." He placed a cheesy smile on his face.

: : : : : :

"Why are you following me? Go home!" I walked faster.

"I am going home." He retorts. I turned around and walked backwards.

"Oh, yeah. Make up an ex-"

"Hi Kyran! How was school?" I whipped my head back and saw a moving van. Kyran bumped my shoulder as he walk from behind.

"I told you, little monster." He gave his mother a hug. His mother must've seen me because she rushed over. Her black curls bounced on her shoulders. Her face aged because she chose to age like a human being. An aging vampire. Same with Kyran.

"Hello, Breeze! It's been so long." Kyran mother, Mary, exclaims.

I nod my head. "Yes, it has."

She smiles. "Say, how about dinner?"

I was about to open my mouth to say no but Kyran spoke. "Yes! Yes, she will. In fact, we were talking about it, too."

Kyran's mom nod her head. "Great! We'll have dinner at eight. I'll see you there."

She walked away and I turned to punch Kyran's arm. "What the hell?"

He just shrugged and I rolled my eyes. I gave him one last glare and stormed off.

"Hey! Dress nicely and it's at eight!"

: : : : : :

I looked at the clock and it was almost eight. Believe it or not, I have been debating in my hand whether I should go or not.

"Why is it and easy choice but so hard to choose?" I rolled over on my back and called Amara. She answered on the thrid ring.

"Hey, Breeze. What's up?"

"Mara! I need an answer." I rolled back on my stomach.

"Okay, ask away."

I took a deep breath. "Okay, so what if you met someone from a long time, and his mother--"

"Wait, hold up. It's a he?!" interrupts Amara.

"Let me finish. And his mother wants to invite you to dinner and you want to say no, but that person answers for you and it was a yes. Would you go or not?"

"Okay, so . . . Kyran's mother asked you for dinner and you wanted to say no but Kyran answers for you."

I coughed out loud--stunned. "H-How did you know?!"

"Dang, it was just a guess. I was wondering why he was following you like a lost puppy at school."

"But, I don't know." She begins, "I mean, I would go over and have dinner. I just don't know about you. But my opinion is go over and have dinner. Bye!"

"Amara wa-" I give up. She already hung up. I closed my eyes and let out a huff. I guess I'm going.

I walked to the washroom and showered. I even brushed my teeth and dried my hair afterwards. When I finished drying my hair, my hair was all over the place and it's frizzy. I straightened it and chose some clothes from my closet to wear.

I looked in the mirror. I wore a maroon mini skirt and a long-sleeved black crop with a long gold feather necklance. I put my hair up in a loose high ponytail. I felt nervous but I shook it off.

"Okay, Breeze. Let's get this over with." I slipped on black lace-up boots and made my way to the Knights' house.

I rang the doorbell and the door opened.

"Oh, look who's here." Kyran answers. He wore a black button down shirt and denim jeans. His

I rolled my eyes. "Hello,"

"Kyran, let her in." said Kyran's father, Warren. I came in and looked around. Wow. They sure are fast. Everything was put in place already. Something hit my head and I whipped around. Great.

Kyran has a plastic ball in his hands and his little brother, Dan, does too. But his mouth was opened as he looks at me. I haven't seen Dan in so long and now that I saw him, he's still a jerk.

"Th-this is Breeze?" Dan sputters.

"Yep," Kyran popped the 'p'. "Ew, right?

But Dan dropped the balls and point to Kyran. "He threw it at your head!"

"It's been so long, Breeze." said Warren. "I hope you are doing fine."

I nod but didn't give out a smile. It has already been fifteen minutes throughout this dinner. I sat by Kyran and his parents were at the opposite side. Dan sat on the end of the table that was by Kyran.

There was chicken in the middle of the table and a few more side dishes. Mary must've been exhausted cooking all of this.

Dan kept gazing at me. "Oi, Dan." Kyran snapped his fingers in front of him. I grabbed my cup and drank water. "Don't stare at her, she's my girlfriend."

I choked and set the cup down. I began to cough so I turned away from table and coughed more. Kyran pats my back and said, "There there."

I took a deep breath and grabbed a napkin to wipe my mouth. "E-excuse me."

The looks on his parents' face was stunned. They just smiled and nod. "It's okay, Breeze."

"What?! She's your girlfriend?" Dan exclaimed. "Nuh uh! No way. I do not approve."

Kyran wrapped his arm around my shoulders. "Why? Do you like her?"

Dan looked away and I shrugged his arm off.

"Relax, everyone. It was just a joke." Kyran laughs.

"Doesn't matter if it was a joke," said Mary. "I think she'll be an excellent wife. I don't care about the

I coughed once more and I calmed myself down. This dinner is surprising.
