"Gooooood morning, Breeze!" Amara ran through the halls of Empire High.

"Good morning," I say, glumly.

"What with your outfit today?" asked Amara.

I looked at myself. I wore a dark red sweater, black pajama pants, and flip-flops. "It's school. I don't have anyone to impress."

"Or that you're too lazy." She said grinning. "But... How's your shoulder?"

I glanced at my shoulder and shrugged. "It hurts a bit."

"You really need to take care of it, Breeze. A bandage won't just do anything. Like, you need-"

"Okay, okay. I get it. I'll apply medison tonight. What would you recommend?"

We reached our lockers. I opened mine and Amara leaned against hers. She was thinking.

"I would recommend this." She pulled something out of her backpack and showed it to me.

"Kaliho?"

She nods. "It helps heal wounds, obviously. But, it works." She hands it to me and I took it in my hands. "It can basically be for anything."

She turned on her phone and my brain fired. I grabbed her phone and she shouts, "Hey!" I checked the time. This bell was going to ring. I gave the phone back to her. "Sorry, Mar. Got to go!"

I ran ahead and she yelled something about the Kaliho cream in my hand but I didn't hear. I got into class right on time and sat by the window in the back. I let out a sigh but I was startled when books were dropped on the desk next to me. Taylor sat down and gave me a bright smile.

"Um, what are you doing?" I asked, amused.

"I go to class here. You know, I have been wanting to sit by you but a guy name Kyran always gets it first so... I'm not losing my chance." she grabbed her binder and literature book out. I looked around then back to her. Quietly, I said to her, "Where are your friends?"

She flinched. She held her breath and I can see her neck muscles. "They're... Surprising me with something. They said that it was going to be at lunch time." She smiled at me the flipped through her pages in her literature book. "Also, my favorite number is one. Just saying."

My lip curled. "You are one weird vampire." The bell rang and when I glanced around the classroom, there were more students. Ms. Jakilo walked in and started writing on the white board. Sure, students are in here but I don't see Kyran. Is he sick today?

I stretched and yawned. "Amara, what are you going to do when Dax comes back?" She stopped eating and set her fork down.

"Honestly, I don't know. I still love him, seriously. But when he did that to you, he isn't Dax. I mean, Dax and I have been dating for three years and all but I know him well enough that he will never do that."

I nodded. "I did get some weird vibes coming from him." Amara began eating. "But, did you know? Taylor was following me around this morning."

"What? No way, why?" She said through a mouthful. I shrugged. "I don't know. She gave me her number, though. I don't know why but she went home due to a migraine. But she did say that her friends are going to surprise her at lunch time which is right now. Weird, right?" Amara nodded as she drank water.

Firecrackers were heard and everyone's whispers were heard. The firecrackers were coming from the cafeteria doors and a huge poster fell down, blocking the wide opened doors.

"Oh my God, wait, is that-!" Amara choked and my eyes went wide. It was a poster of Taylor kissing another girl full on the mouth. The girl's face was blurred so Taylor's face was only visible. Some of the jocks laughed but mumbles made them unheard. Is this... It? Her friends were backstabbers. On the poster, Pepsi and Joy wrote EXPOSED in dripping red pen... Or was it blood?

Various thoughts came to my head. What is Taylor doing right now? I moved my feet but hesitated. Who cares? She is my bully. She deserves it. But somehow, it made me feel bad. I groaned and turned to Amara. "I'm going back home."

"Mwhat? Vhy?" She said, munching on her sandwich. I scratched my neck. "Just... Someone needs someone right now. Sorry, bye!"

I rushed out. I ducked under the poster and behind it, two guys were there. I stopped for a bit.

"Dude, are you seriously gonna burn this photo? It's a photo of you and your girlfriend." The first one asked.

"Who cares. She slept with my dad." He opened the box and grabbed one. I lunged forward and grabbed the match out of his hand and struck it against the striking surface of the match box.

"What the hell, you Half?" He said. I kicked him in the shin. I quickly walked over to the poster and lit it on fire. I stomped on the match and threw it away. Running through, I yelled, "Sorry!"

I was finally out of school campus and is sprinting on the sidewalk. I called and called Taylor but she wasn't picking up. On the last call, she turned off her phone. Dammit!

"Breeze!" Kyran showed up in front of me. "A girl named Taylor told me to tell you this."

I grabbed his collar. "Hurry and tell me!"

He held up his hands. " '405 Jaeso Avenue and the first house.' "

: : : : : :

"What's this all about?" said Kyran. I pound on the door that Taylor told me to go. It was luxurious and I tried my best to climb over the gate. I pound again. "None of your business." I pound once more.

"Yo, chill. You're gonna hurt your hand." He grabbed my arm to stop.

I got a confused expression on my face. "She needs help!" Kyran gave me a stern face. "You care about others getting hurt but what about you?!"

"I don't have time for this." I turned the door knob and unexpectedly, it opened. "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!" I scream. I stormed in without taking my shoes off. A grand staircase was shown in front. I used my vampire speed and scuttle my way up. Kyran got to the top first. I past him and five doors were on the each hallway. I turned to the left hallway. "You have a really weak vampire side." Thanks, I already know, jerk. Each door had numbers on it. The numbers were not in order. 100, 6, 244, 389, 1.

Which of these doors are her room? She must be out of her mind. My hand trembled. The way she is acting right now is like Liam. Crying and hiding whenever he's going through something or just being a coward. Maybe that's why I'm here right now. She reminds me about Liam...

"My favorite number is one..." Ah, that's right. No wonder she said that. That girl left many hints for me, gosh!

I went to the door that was a one and kicked it. It broke down. "Oo, someone might pay for that." teased Kyran. I ignored him and walked inside. Taylor was sitting on her bed, surprised to see me.

"Why? Are you surprised? Why did you leave out all those stupid hints and make me come here?" I say, frustrated. "Did you know how frantic I was? I thought something was going to happen."

"Who asked you to be frantic?" She said nonchalantly.

Is she for real?!

"Well, why did you leave hints in the first place then? Did you want me to be your hero? Did you run away because of some simple poster?"

"You don't know anything, Breeze. You don't know why I did that." She said, her eyes were growing red.

"Because you're a coward who only gives a shit about your reputation." I snap. "And trust me, I know everything. I know what it's like to be laughed at, judged, and be the center gossip." I was so frustrated that I was swearing. She did all of this and for what? Nothing! "But I didn't care. I kept my head high and here you are, crying because of that. Why? Because of your cowardliness. While everyone's attention is somewhere else, you needed someone's attention to be towards you, and that's me, isn't it?"

Her eyes fell. I took a deep breath and grabbed a fistful of my hair. I turned away but she spoke. "When I gave hints to you, why did you come? When I treated you bad so many times, why did you still come?"

I feel like exploding. I calmed myself down. "Because you're stupid." I turned into a wolf and ran out. I forgot that Kyran was there and saw the whole thing.
