It became October. Taylor still hasn't come back and Jurian was still at the hospital. My nightmares haven't occurred in a while - the same with my memories. Dax was back and Amara has been avoiding him. I can't blame her though, I've been avoiding Kyran and Jurian, too.
"I hate Mondays." I say. I was all groggy and I frowned. Amara was right next to me. She curled her hair again.
"Doesn't everyone?" She says, yawning. She was on her phone and I was shoving my books in my locker. "Do you know what day it is?" asked Amara.
I turned to her and gave her a thin smile. "A horrible Monday that is totally ruining my day? Yes, I do."
"Oh... Never mind." she said.
Of course I know. It's your birthday!
Gasps echoed in the hallways and fingers were pointed. "Gosh, what's happening that is so early in the morning." groaned Amara.
I followed their fingers and there she is. Taylor Watts. She was dressed in a skirt knowing that is was October and a sweater with a black choker. Her black heels clacked with each step she makes. With the school practically whispering and gaping at her, she strides through the crowed like a pro. Her chin high and facing forward. When she saw me, she gasped and ran to me.
I looked at Amara. She was confused as I am. Was I sure that Taylor was running this way?
Well, a hug and squeal from Taylor did it. Taylor's arms were tightly wrapped around my shoulders and she jumped up and down. I was afraid that her heels were going to poke me.
"Breeze!" she squeals. "I'm so happy to see you!"
She pulls back and smiles. I raised and eyebrow. "Yeah... I guess, me too?"
Amara pulled out an arm in front of me. "Hey! Back off, she's my friend."
Taylor shrugged. "If she's your friend then she's my best friend." Taylor hooked her arm around me and stuck out her tongue at Amara who's mouth was open. Amara then hooked her arm around me.
"Excuse me, but I was always there for her when your were bullying her." protest Amara.
Guys... "I'm so embarrassed by you two idiot." I mumble to myself. It was quiet and everyone - and I mean everyone was staring at us.
Taylor pulled me to her. "Doesn't matter. We're friends now."
Amara pulled me to her. "I've been friends with her since kindergarten."
My shoulder ached and I felt dizzy. They kept yanking me back and forth.
"I believe she belongs to me..."
Someone's strong grip pulled me to them. This scent... And blood smells familiar? Why am I smelling blood?
Kyran made all of the people gasp and whisper. Some of the girls were squealing and some were so red that it could kill.
"...at least, for a short while." He finishes.
He wore a blue jacket and a black beanie. I don't know why but it made him look adorable in it. Amara was about to protest but Taylor spoke first.
"Go right ahead!" She exclaimed.
Kyran smirked and pulled me away. The crowd stared at us as he left the hallway and finally into home room. I sat in a chair and he sat next to me.
"What was that?" I ask.
"What? I saved you from being pulled apart." He explained. "Also, I can see the pain in your eyes. Is your shoulder hurting?"
