I reached home and I was tired. I left Jurian with his friends. I took a shower and changed into pajamas. When I came out, Kyran was sitting on the couch watching TV.
"Oh my God!" I screamed. Kyran still didn't move and has his eyes set on the TV. "What the hell are you doing here? Wait- how did you get in?"
He shrugged. "I have my ways."
"Well, get out." I snap.
He looked at me and gave me a pouty face. "But I let you over to stay at my house! And I lend you my bed."
"But is it pouring outside?" I ask. Kyran was about to protest but clamped his mouth shut and looked away.
I smiled, even though he can't see me. "What do you want?"
He turned the TV off and got to his feet. His hands were jammed into his pockets and strolled over to me. "About school and Dax... Are you sure you want to go to school tomorrow?"
I tensed and the thought of what happened that day made me shiver. "Y-yes,"
"Are you sure? Because no one, and I mean no one knows what happened except for you, Jurian, Dax, and I." he bent to my height and I avoided his look. "Breeze, look at me." I closed my eyes and turned to him. "Open," I opened my eyes.
Slowly and quietly, I whispered, "I'm afraid," my hand trembled and pain in my chest ached. "I'm afraid that he's going to come after me." This is ridiculous because I talked about dying the other day... But I can't. I need to find Liam first.
Kyran slowly nodded and pats my shoulder. "Can I use that drawing for a bit?" He pointed at the painting on the wall. It was a garden of roses and blue butterflies.
I was confused as of why he asked me but reluctantly, I nodded. He walks to it and raises his hand and points at the butterfly that was sucking nectar from the rose. To my amazement, the butterfly came to life. It fluttered around me and I couldn't believe it.
"Beautiful, right?" I turned to Kyran and nodded.
"H-how is this possible?" I ask.
"I have abilities... Well, one of them is Animation. The ability to bring animated or drawings to life. I was actually cursed by the last witch before she went to extinction. So... I'm cursed."
"So, you have any kind of ability?" I asked.
He nods.
"Wow," I said in awe. I smiled, the widest smile I've made. "I'm glad to smile with you again."
"Huh? Y-you smiled with me before?" asked Kyran.
I saw a couple of kids kicking dirt. But then I realized, it wasn't dirt. It was another kid and I couldn't stand it. I ran over to help him.
"Hey! Stop it!" I scream.
The other kids screamed when they saw me. "It's the Half! She's going to hurt us!" They ran away.
My fists were balled so I unclenched them. I stared at the boy who was still bent down and having his hands on his head. He had cuts on his forearms and and bruises on his legs.
"Get up," I say. "They're gone now."
Slowly, the boy looked up. He had a bruised lip and has a cut on his temple that was bleeding. His brown hair has dirt sprayed on him and he has blue eyes.
I sighed. What was the point of helping? "Run," I growl.
I walked away but the boy grabbed onto my leg. "Wait!"
