I was out in the snow. Yelling for Kyran's name and wishing for an answer. It hadn't snowed yet but soon, it will. And I'm prepared for it... Kind of. I turned on the flashlight and the snow was up to my shin. Each step was like a drag and I sink myself into it more. The moon shined so brightly that I can see the trees even without my flashlight. It had begun to snow. I need to find Kyran quick!

"Kyran!" I yell. "Please give me an answer!"

Esther is probably out here hiding just waiting for the time to strike but I'm going to be prepared for it. But Kyran's body temperature can't fall under 15 Celsius or else he'll die. What if - what if he's slowly near death? No. What are you thinking Breeze?

I ran through the snow. Trees surrounded and everywhere I walk is like walking in a circle.

I screamed louder. "KYRAN!"

It made the trees shake and the wind blew from me. A faint yell was coming from my right and without thinking, I went that way.

Please, Kyran. Please.

It wasn't long until I saw a hill with a cave. I was delighted. I ran into it. Everything around in the cave was all ice. Everything was frozen - even the ground of the cave is ice. They're also glowing. I turned off my flashlight and at the corner of my eyes I see Kyran on the ground.

"Kyran!" I shout. I ran to him and cradled him in my arms. He was ice cold, his lips were tinting blue and his skin was so much paler. He was still alive because he smiled and said, "In movies... Isn't it vice verse?"

"Don't joke." I command.

"Hello dear!" Esther appeared in green smoke and smiled at me. I grit my teeth. "Oh, honey, don't do that. Anyways, merry early Christmas! This is your present."

"This is not!" I scold. "If you want to fight then fight. Don't involve the people around me."

"Oh, but that makes it boring." She frowns. "Welcome to my game, sweetheart. Many obstacles may cross your path."

A burst of smoke appeared. A figure was walking towards me, slowly. Matt. He smirked at me.

"Hello, Half." He said bitterly.

"Hello, Matt." I say through gritted teeth.

I took my scarf and jacket off. I wrapped it around Kyran although I'm not sure if it'll be help. I stood up and activated my Half. I clenched my fists.

"Come at me!" I shout.

Esther grins. "Let the games begin."

Matt charged at me and I dodged and ran straight to Esther. She was about to disappear but I grabbed arm and spun her around into Matt. Matt caught her and she sprang to her feet. Matt charged at me, again, and this time, I ducked when he going to punch and scratched his stomach with my long, sharp claws. He didn't stop but Esther pulled him back. Esther grabbed my neck but I jerked away from her and raised my leg up to kick her shoulder. She dodged that and punched me across the face.

That bi-!

I got down and kicked her ankles which made her fall backwards. This time, Matt grabbed my neck and raised me up high. I gasped. I was above the ground and waving my feet. I kicked the area where I scratched and he faltered a bit. He still didn't let me go. So, I wrapped my legs around his neck and pulled back. We both fell with a thud and my arm aches.

"Ah!" I yelped. I grabbed my arm and was panting. When I got to my feet, Esther threw me to the wall of the hard ass cave. It hurt like hell. Apparently, my healing isn't kicking in. It made me livid. Furious. Ferocious. I felt anger everywhere. My head thrust up and I screamed in agony. Smoke appeared and surrounded me and began a tiny tornado. I was still standing there, screaming.

"What the hell?" cursed Matt.

Once the pain stopped, so did the smoke. I opened my eyes. My arm didn't ache anymore and it felt like some kind of power surged through me. I stretched my fingers and balled my fist. I open my eyes. Esther and Matt gasped.

I rushed to them; fast. Faster than a vampire or s-something. I pushed Esther and it sent her flying to the wall. She screams in pain.

"I... I pushed that hard?" I asked myself,
surprised by my own action.

Matt raised his arm and my reflexes punched him. He was sent flying to another wall. I sped at Esther.

"H-How is this possible?" She exasperated.

I smirked. "I'm a Half," I grabbed her neck and squeezed it. "bitch."

"Don't you dare do that!" screamed Matt.

I looked back at him, not letting go of Ester who was gasping out loudly and slapping my arm.

"Why?" I demand.

"If you do, I will hurt your family."

"I'm not falling for that!" I scream.

"Fine. I'll just hurt your sweetheart here." He walked over to Kyran and grabbed his hair. Kyran grunts. Matt pulls out a pocket knife and put it against his neck. It was glowing orange.

I gasped. "Is-is that-"

"Yes, it's Solite. A type of rock that can hurt or kill Vampires." He said, grinning. "I will kill him right here, right now."

"Don't your fucking dare." I say darkly.

"Then let go of her." He says, grinning.

"Breeze, forget about me..." I looked at Kyran with worried eyes. "Just...kill her."

I squeezed Esther's neck tighter and she let out a loud gasp.

"Let go of her! Or I'll really do it!" He moved the knife and showed it to me. A thin red coat was on the blade. I widened my eyes. "This is blood. Let Esther go or I'll cut his neck. And this time, I'm going to do it right."

"No..." I let it trail because I was speechless.

"Let her go," said Matt.

"Kill her..." said Kyran.

"Let her go," repeated Matt. He kept repeating it an it was irritating me. I squeezed Esther's neck tighter and he acted up. "I wouldn't do that if I were you!"

Those words echoed in my head. They rang in my ears. It wouldn't stop. I had to make a decision. I-I... I screamed as loud as I can. Dark, black smoke surround all of us and my eyes glowed as bright as ever. My hair was flying all over the place as I scream. I lost focus and simply let Esther go. But before letting her go, I made a deep-deep scratched on her face and arm. I stopped screaming and the smoke stopped instantly.

"Matt..." Esther was now shaking. She cleared her throat. "Let's go. Now."

They both scrambled away and disappeared. The snow was falling hard. I was tired but I ran to Kyran at the other side. I slipped but I crawled to him.

"Kyran," I call out. "Kyran, are you okay?"

Dumbest question ever.

I put my hands on him and was like ice. I cursed under my breath. Blood dripped from the cut on his neck. They can't heal if they get hurt by Solite. I carried Kyran in bridal style.

Kyran chuckled. "This is weird," he said half-heartedly.

"Stop talking. I gotta get you back quickly." I say.

I sped out of the cave like I was a missile. I was quick, too. I guess I don't really despise being a Half.
