It was the middle of November. Next week will be thanksgiving week. It had already snowed but not heavily. Apparently, the Witch is now a fugitive. The guards couldn't get a hold of her and she's somewhere out there. I needed answers from her. My family. How strong am I that she wants my "power"?
"Hello? Earth to Breeze?"
I turned my focus back to Jurian. It was lunch time but we brought our own lunch and sat in the abandoned library.
"Sorry, what were you saying?" I ask.
Jurian leaned forward. "You've been out in la la land many times. Is something wrong?"
I sighed. "Yes, actually." I admit. "I mean, the Witch is still out there and I don't know where the hell she is. I want to get answers from her. Like, for instance, my family. Also... Your brother, Matt."
He nods. "I know, it's been crazy for a little while. But don't worry, we'll catch her." He assures.
I curled my lip. "Hopefully."
He rests his head against the wall and reset his arm on his knee and also closed his eyes. I admired his flaws. He opened my eyes and snapped his head to me so quickly, I didn't have time to react.
"Why? Do you want to kiss me again?" He teases.
I push him away. "Shut up," I say, thinking back to when he kissed me. I shook my head. "Plus, it was only one kiss."
"Oh?" He scooted closer to me. "So you want a second one?"
I rolled my eyes. "Nope, I'm good."
He laughed. "Well, I can't believe it's almost our ski trip."
I nod. "I know. Time is ticking fast. Remember the first time we've met?"
He turned his whole body to me. "Of course I do! You didn't even like me when you found out we were mates."
"Yeah! Because I thought you were a selfish, cocky playboy!" I said truthfully.
He chuckles. "Am I still?"
I shook my head. "Nope. You're Jurian. A guy who is my mate."
He crossed his arms and looked at me. "You're changing so much now, too."
Slowly, I said, "Is that good thing?"
"Oh course it is!" He smiled widely. "You have your hair down most of the time and you're smiling and laughing! It's like the Breeze that was tucked away in you had just awoken."
I smiled. "You're right."
He chuckled then looked at me. A kind of look that was sincere and full of affection. "Breeze... I know I've asked you this before but..."
I know what he was going to say.
"Will you be my girlfriend?" He asks.
At that moment, I wanted to say yes. For some reason I didn't. My heart kind of ached. I want to say yes but my heart says no. For what reason?
"I... No. I'm sorry." I finally said.
Jurian nodded and looked away. "Understandable."
"No, Jurian, it's just-" I sighed. "I don't want to give an answer right now."
He looks at me. "What can I do?" He chuckled. His eyes looked like he didn't believe me.
Why didn't I say yes?
Instead, I just smiled at him.
"The bell's going to ring. Let's go." He got up and hauled me to my feet. We dusted off ourselves and walked out.

"Why didn't you say yes?!" exclaimed Amara.
I smiled thinly at her. "I know, right? Why didn't I?"
Amara sighed then said, "Was it Kyran?"
I snapped to her. "What? No!"
Amara smirked. "Sure,"
"I-I..." I stopped. Kyran. I shook my head. "No, it's not. It can't be..." I uttered.
"Your face is red, Breeze." Amara points out.
I bit my lip. "I... Like him." I admit.
"That must be why you're rejecting Jurian." said Amara.
I nod sheepishly then shook my head repeatedly. "No. I don't... Like him?"
"You're obviously making this even worse." Amara said glumly.
I wanted to deny it but I couldn't. What I know now is that I like two guys. Jurian and Kyran. I'm torn between them... Somehow.
