"Put this on, Breeze!" shouted Taylor.
"No!" I argue.
I kept moving my head because Taylor thinks it's a great idea to put red lipstick on me. Eventually I gave up because she's not gonna back down. Not to mention she's a vampire who's fast. She smiled with glee and put it on my lips.
"There," she said.
I looked in the mirror. "I look so..."
"Beautiful? Amazing?" suggests Taylor.
"No, weird." I finish.
She shook her head and said, "You need to know the power of make up, hon."
Taylor left first and I kept staring in the mirror. I sighed and put on my mask.
The time has come. Halloween dance. As I walked the doors of Empire High, boys' jaws were open and stared at me. Which is ridiculous because I'm in a tight as hell leather suit but I'm still rocking it.
I made it to the gymnasium where music boomed and lights flashed everywhere. The gym was dark and purple, there were a lot of students dancing and eating. I spot Taylor at the table and I ran to her.
"Hey, Breeze! Still rocking the costume I see." She beams.
I bent down them back up. "Yeah but it's tight."
"Well, get used to it." She says, eating a cheese cube. She was dressed up as a blood dripping bunny. I saw Amara and Dax on the dance floor laughing. Amara turned out to be a pirate.
Taylor chuckled. "Well, I'm going to go dance. See you, Breeze. Make sure to have some fun!" She said the last part as she disappears into the crowds of people. Someone covered my eyes.
"Guess who?" whispered that someone.
I took the hands off and looked at Jurian. "You," I whispered.
He was dressed as Superman. The slicked back hair made him look slightly different.
"I like your costume, Hero." I compliment.
Jurian smirked. "Thanks for the compliment."
He gestured his hand out then heard his name being called at the gym doors. Tal was a clown and waving.
Jurian whistled. "They're early."
"What?" I ask.
"Oh, just taking pictures. I'll be right back." He says.
I nod and he kissed my hand which I giggled at. He ran across the gym and disappeared in the dark halls. I sighed. I reached for the red cups and poured in punch. I sipped it and someone bumped into me. I set the cup on the table and jerked my body around.
"Hey!" I shout.
It was Owen Johnson. A football player. His auburn hair was covered by his costume and only his brown eyes glowed. He's a vampire. He was dressed as Batman and edged closer to me.
"Hey," he whispers. "I like your costume."
He touched my chin and I turned my head but one of his hands pushed me to him.
"Why don't you leave your mate and come to me?" He whispers.
"Get" I pushed him away. "Off!"
He put his hands up by his head. "Okay!" He chuckles and walks away. But he gave me one last look and disappeared into the dance floor. I huffed and sipped my cup.
