Chapter 1

Natalie's POV

"Hey girls!" My mom said walking through the door. Juliet and I were doing homework in the living room. We had music playing really loud; r5 of course.

"Can you turn that down? I have exciting news!" My mom said happily. I turn down the music and ask her what's up.

"I've been relocated!"

"Where?!" I say excitedly. I really hope it's far away from here. I want to sing, there is no opportunity to do that here.

"California, we leave this weekend!"

"OMG YOU'RE JOKING!!" I scream.

"Nope! I brought some boxes home, we need to start packing, like now." She says; "Juliet, how do you feel about this?"

Juliet shrugs her shoulders. "I don't really care."

I ran to my room and called my friends to tell them the exciting news; then all of a sudden, my excitement went away. I have to leave my best friends. I didn't think of that when mom told us we were moving. A tear runs down my face. I pick up the phone and call Emily first.

"Hey girl!" Emily says.

"Don't hate me..."

"Why would I ever hate you?" She says.

"My mom got relocated and I'm moving to Cali." I said with tears forming in my eyes.

"That's awesome!" She screams.

"Did you not hear what I said? I'm moving to California; a state all the way on the other side of the country."

"Nat listen; it's been your dream since forever to live there. Why are you so upset?"

"Because I'm leaving this weekend, and who knows the next time I'm going to see you, Maria or Taylor?" After I say that, I started to cry.

"It's going to be okay. It's not like we'll never be able to talk again."

"True. Well I'm going to go call Maria and Taylor and tell them."

"Okay. Everything's going to be okay, I promise. Talk to you later!" I hang up the phone and call Maria and Taylor. When I was finished with my homework, I started to pack. Today's Wednesday and I'm leaving Saturday morning, so that's not that much time.

~Friday Night~

Emily, Maria and Taylor are over tonight. We're saying goodbye since I have to leave early tomorrow morning. My mom left yesterday morning with our stuff, so there's nothing in the house.

The night consisted of all of us crying. It's going to be hard leaving my best friends. They have been there for me through everything; especially when my dad died. At 11:00, they had to leave. They were crying and so was I. The rest of the night, I couldn't sleep. I was really excited and upset at the same time.

Juliet wakes me up at 5:00 telling me we have go get ready to go. Like I said before, my mom left the other day with our stuff, me and Jul were flying there.

We get to the airport just in time. We got on the plane and found our seats. I put on my earbuds and fell asleep.
