Chapter 7

Ross' POV

I'm hanging out with Nat again today. I might ask her out by the end of the day. But I don't know.

Today I'm showing her around Cali. I'm taking her to all my favorite places.

I knocked on her door and her mom opened it. Her mom is really nice.

"Oh, hey Ross! You here for Nat?"

"Yeah. I'm showing her around today."

"Aw, that's nice of you." She said, "can I ask you something?"

"Sure." Now I'm nervous.

"Are you two dating?"

"No."

"Oh. She talks about you a lot."

After she says that, Nat walks downstairs. She's wearing a black crop top, jean shorts and black converse.

"Hey!" She says smiling.

"Hey! We're matching" I say pointing down at our shoes.

She laughs and drags me out the door.

We walk down the street heading into town. We walk past a couple stores and she begs me to go in. I let her shop for a while.

"Ross?" I asked.

"Yeah."

"I'm hungry, can we go somewhere to eat?"

"Yeah. What do you want?" I ask her.

"You pick."

"I chose last time, it's your turn." I said smiling.

"Um. Is there an Applebee's around here?"

"Yep, let's go."

We walk to Applebee's and have lunch. She pulls out her wallet but I stop her.

"I'm paying." I demand

"You paid last time." She said mocking me.

"So?" I said pulling out money.

"Whatever." She said rolling her eyes.

We walk out of the restaurant and start walking down the street.

We were walking for a couple minutes when all of a sudden, she starts holding my hand. I look at her and smile, she does the same.

We walk to a park and she runs to the swings.

"Nat?" I ask shyly.

"Yeah."

"Do you wanna go out with me?" I took my chances and asked her again. She held my hand, she has to say yes.

"Ross, you know I would love to, but we're two years apart. My mom would kill me."

"Nat," I get off my swing and sit on my knees in front of her; "I really like you. I would do anything for you. And who cares about our age. Age is overrated."

She giggles at that last part.

"Nice quote from your own song."

I start to laugh. "Well it's true. So how 'bout it?"

"Yes."

"Really?!" I say standing up.

"Yes really." She says pulling me into a hug.

I never want this moment to end.
