Chapter 6

Natalie's POV

The next morning me and Juliet went to the beach to have some sister time.

Schools out for the summer so the beach was pretty busy. We needed to work on our tan since we're really pale compared to everyone else who lives here.

We set up our stuff and started talking. She asked me about my day with Ross yesterday, I told her everything. Me and Juliet have a special relationship. We tell each-other everything.

We were laying down on our towels and a volleyball got hit by us.

A girl that looked my age ran over to get her ball.

"Hey I'm Katherine, but you can call me Katy!" She said

"Hey! I'm Natalie but you can call me Nat. This is my sister Juliet. I say, "we just moved here the other day."

"Cool! I'm 16, and I'm homeschooled; I make friends through volleyball."

"Oh, I'm 16 too. Like I said, we just moved here, so I don't have any friends yet."

"No! You're friends with the Lynch's!" Juliet says.

"YOU KNOW THE LYNCH'S?!" Katy basically screams.

"Yeah, we're neighbors." I say, "you're a fan assume?"

"Yes! I love r5!!"

"Who's your favorite?" I kinda fangirled with her for a few minutes.

"Ryland....I know he's not "in the band" but he's really cute!"

"Yeah. My favorite's Ross."

"She was with him all day yesterday!!" Juliet chimed in.

"Do you have to be so annoying?" I joke with her.

We spent the rest of the day hanging out with Katy. It turns out we have a lot in common; we like the same music and tv shows. She makes me miss my friends back home even more.

"Do you wanna come over for dinner? I asked Katy.

"Sure! Let me call my mom to make sure it's okay."

She called her mom and she's allowed to come over.

We pack our stuff up and walk home. We walk in and the Lynch's are in the living room. Katy screamed, everyone laughed.

"Hey everyone! This is Katy!" I tell them.

I officially introduce Katy to all of them even though she already knew all of them.

When I got to Ryland, she smiled and couldn't talk.

"Hey." He said

There was no sound coming out of her.

Ryland's POV

Nat walks into the house with this girl. I couldn't take my eyes off her. She's gorgeous. I should ask her out; but I need to get her alone. Who cares that I know nothing about her.

When Nat got to me, all I could say is hey. Hey? How stupid.

Nat's mom, Lindsey, made dinner; it was delicious!

When everyone was done eating, Ross volunteered to help clean up. Probably just trying to win her mom over so he looks good when he asks her out again.

Katy's phone rang and she said that her mom needs her home. This is my chance to talk to her; and maybe ask her out.

"I'll walk you home." I offered.

"Okay, thanks." She said smiling.

The walk started out kinda awkward. We didn't say much. I don't know what to do. Should I talk to her? Of course I should talk to her, we can't walk in silence the whole way to her house.

"So." I said.

"Yeah."

"Okay, I don't want to make this more weird than it already is."

Why did I have to say so much? We stopped walking and she turned and looked at me; she's blushing.

"I-" I started talking. "I like you, I really like you. And I know we just met but-"she kissed me. Oh my god, she kissed me!

We pull back and I continue.

"Do you wanna go out with me sometime?"

"Yes." She said kissing me again.

This night has been the best night ever.
