She sighed the moment she saw the empty room. She closed the door behind her and leaned for a while, replaying the scenes that happened that night and when it almost too painful she gathered some of her strength before walking towards her laptop and into her progress.
It was unfinished and no progress at all. She sighed once again and sat on the chair. She let her head rest on the table. Minutes later, she went outside and let the cool breeze embrace her. She looked towards the dark horizon and its calming sea. She thought of home and how she missed her bed, her small room, her cubicle, her friends-basically her life.
She thought of the past few days and how everything chaotic has resurface again. This was clearly a huge mistake. Who am I kidding that this could change my life? If there's anything, it has gotten worse. I never should have come here.
She sighed one more time before going back to the room and let herself sleep and dream.
The next morning, Eros woke up feeling a bit uneasy. He sighed and thought of last night. He knew that turning his back on Psyche was a mistake but, he couldn't leave Carmen all alone. She was crying-she needed help.
He came to her room and
everything was in chaos. Clothes and pillows were everywhere. Chairs were upside down. They had a fight that night. She said she was so scared. She said he almost killed her."Please, don't leave yet. What if he comes back?" She pleaded, grasping his shirt and shaking.
"Why were you two fighting anyway?" He asked, with utmost concern.
"Because of you, Eros. He was jealous. He couldn't stand that I still have feelings for you. I still want you."
Her words move him and so he stayed beside her. He watched her go to sleep and studied her face. He knew this was what he wanted-to win her back but he couldn't lie to himself that the past few days wasn't him and Carmen anymore but Psyche and him.
When he closed his eyes, he saw her. He say her tears, je saw that pain but still he turned his back on her like what he always do.
And when he opened his eyes again, he knew what he has to do. He got up and left the sleeping Carmen on the bed. He didn't even bother to turned around to have one last look.
He practiced his words, his apology even though he knows Psyche would not believe them. He would understand it but if it takes a thousands of apology just gain her trust one more time, he would do it. He would accept it.
Finally, he reached the room, expecting to see the ombre' blue-green hair woman, just got out from the showers, ready to lash out in him or could be, ignore him but to his dismay, there was no woman standing. The room was silent-too clean and organized. It felt lonely as he step inside.
The only thing he found that was hers was her flower crown, lying on top of the bed.
And that's when he realized, she was gone.
She left.
A loud, desperate knock woke up Wendy and Robert from their sleep. "Baby, open the door." Wendy told Robert with her eyes closed.
"Hm. Yeah. Yeah." Robert nodded and let go of his fiance'. He sat on the bed before standing up and headed towards the door.
"Robert."
"Hm?What is it?"
"Get some clothes on. Your butt naked."
"Right. Right." He nodded again before getting on his robes and headed towards the door. When he opened it, he saw an anxious Eros. "Morning, Eros-"
